The magician is an underrated forehand disc. I use it for stand still upshot’s and recovery shots where you want it to go dead straight then turn hard left. If you don’t have the stance for a backhand and can’t get a run up the magician is amazing. It doesn’t take a lot of torque and you can throw it up high it will go straight left once it starts panning from a forehand.
Nice to see someone showing love to the active line. Think they are a great starting point for people getting into discgolf. I received the glow Majesty in my mystery box and the glow plastic feels amazing, also it glows incredibly bright and long.
Just got this disc. It looked funky so i bought it. Looks like a Banshee and Leopard mix. Flies like it too. I think the squall and leopard will stay in the bag and the magician for a newbie that i drag out to play

I think the active line gets very under appreciated by most people. Currently bagging the Tailor and Genius. Probably putting the Magician back in soon. They are solid discs that I’m not afraid to lose cause they are cheap compared to most other discs.
I agree. I’ve been sleeping on the active line for sure. I think they are great discs for the cost !
I think they messed up the release of it, porbably due to manufacturer changes from Innova to L64 to independent.
Due to that uncertainty they probably didn't push it well or with confidence.
None of the pros used it when it came out so there was no " oh Simon just threw a 500ft hyzer with this disc I gotta have it"
Active line gets zero respect outside of the sensei and now that Simon loves the genius for rollers, its been getting love as well. The Magician, Maestro, Mentor, Shogun (deep deep dish putter) are great. The magician is my wife's go-to fairway when she plays.
Cause why not... nice too much fun and my family bags all discmania and it's from there 13 euro pack to a mindbender... we get our stuff mostly out of there mystery boxes which I was very impressed with there black Friday mystery box. Cheers 🍻 always enjoy the content

Have you thrown the magician much before this new glow active run? I used to bag an active premium magician and it was a great understable fairway driver, good for flip to flats with no fade. However I didn't use them in the summer because they get too understable when its hot out.
I tossed around a magician a while back and it was definitely US. This one seem to be pretty stable as far as the back hand. I did a full rip with it flat and it just had a little turn the hole way, but didn’t turn to a roller.
The magician are flippy ones. I have one mystery box versio too. They are hyzerflip dics 😁

How do you think the magician compares to your midranges? Is there a lot of overlap with the flights especially with it being only a 6 speed?
Good question! It felt like I was throwing a fairway, but the speed it was coming out at was definitely slower than what you’d expect when holding it.
