I’m a new subscriber to your channel, thanks for making great safety videos and great content. I been on the fence for a while on buying a One wheel but After watching a lot of your videos I just ordered my Pint one wheel.
I bought a lightly used Onewheel + XR for my 40th b-day. I had to travel right after buying it but I spent that time watching tutorial after tutorial. I just started trying it out over this past weekend and I think this is a machine of pure joy. WELL worth the money spent! I am a novice surfer and snow boarder and this machine makes any piece of terrain an endless wave or an endless hill. All of those tutorials payed off because after 5 miles of riding I was able to weave and carve around the neighborhood. I gained the courage to ride it from my doorstep to a nearby park and it was an absolute joy just to roll around exploring places. I took it on a community college campus that was closed for the summer and the security guy came up to me just wanting to know what I was riding. He said “I’m here to stop people who are damaging property or are up to no good but I can see you’re just passing through.” - I couldn’t believe it. I remember always having to run from security guards when I was a teenager. Just like Jimmy said, I’m finding myself wanting to get out and explore my surroundings seeing places I’d overlook on foot or in a car. I couldn’t be happier with my onewheel. I do know I have to watch being too overconfident. Even though I feel like I’m one of these guys who took to this thing immediately, I know I have to respect my skill level by not overdoing it. That is what I feel gets a lot of people into trouble. I am wearing my safety gear 100%. Wrist guards and a helmet are a must. When you’re 40, you know how much ER bills are ;) One thing to mention is I’ve only rode the onewheel using Astral water shoes which are INSANELY grippy. This inspires pure connectivity with the onewheel footpads giving me the confidence to carve and weave. I’d highly recommend those shoes for the onewheel.
Hi Jimmy, I'm 59 and recently invested in a OW. Its a big investment at around 1/7th of my annual salary! Thing is we all only have one life there is no coming back, only regret for not trying something in life.. I'm 75mls in on my XR, a Goffy foot..and can comfortably carve on decent surfaces and getting close to cracking 180's with some basic gentle carving riding backwards. Like most things rewarding in life theres a learning curve involved. I would say you cant make a true judgment on a OW till 25mls of riding. The other determining factors would be suitable trails/paths and being prepared to look a little out of the 'norm' verging on eccentric going by my neighbours looks. Thing is I'm the one having fun ;-)
I've wanted one of these so bad since they first came out. Takes me years to save up even a few hundred dollars though, so unfortunately I just have to live vicariously through youtube videos. I hope that everyone who owns one of these appreciates that they're able to ride one and I hope you all have the greatest time!
I've just spent my life savings on Onewheel. I already know I'm gonna love it. Over the years, before I got wise to the con, I spent much more on booze and tobacco, life is too short. Thanks for a great video.
I truly hope to run into you on a beach... anywhere. Thank you for putting all the effort into this channel, & the A+ content... and blessings to you and your amazing family.
Just the tier is at least 150, the motor itself is probably around 700, shipping and manufacturing(its literally "Hand made") costs to, support(even if its not as good as we would like) costs too, firmware and updates for it, the rest of the board. Plus some extra to gain profit. It makes sense and its worth it.
I'm a week out from purchasing a OneWheel, and to me the OW is the closest thing I've seen that mimics the feel of surfing. I do all kinds of activities to try and replicate that feeling of gliding along a wave's face: skate a bowl, pump through my neighborhood on a Carver skateboard, carve up the city streets on an electric skateboard. To me, the OW is an investment in my sanity. I surf as much as I can because that's how I decompress. When there aren't waves, I do whatever I can to replicate that feeling. I cannot wait to start learning to ride the OW. Your comments about respecting the OW seem similar to what one of my good friends told me when I first started surfing 35 years ago: Respect the ocean, learn its moods and never turn your back on it, and it will bestow rewards and experiences to you that most people never experience. That mantra has been true every time I've grabbed my board to paddle out. Thanks for your videos and for your pure stoke. Your attitude is infectious and much appreciated.
Good luck and make sure to take it easy. I see and hear of so many injuries that first week of ownership because people aren't familiar with the board. Keep me posted on how it goes!
I was in Maui just 2 months after you at that same beach and that cliff jump is so much fun. Looking to get a one wheel pint and you channel is guiding me towards that. Keep up the great work, love the vids
Onewheel is totally worth it. i love snowboarding but there's no snow in Taiwan! This is the closest i get to snowboarding. And to be honest, it's alot cheaper and I can do this whenever i have a craving for boarding. Also instead of driving my car to to errands, now i have an alternative option. thx jimmy for continuing to put out good onewheel content!
I've had the OneWheel XR for about 1 month now, and with no prior board sport experience, it took me a couple of weeks trying it 5-10 minutes ever now and then until I got the hang of it and now I am using it for recreation almost daily because it feels great in the current nice weather we have. In addition, my two daughters are also using it freely at our local walking park. Most recently I did 2.5 miles in about 30 minutes which used 11% of the battery so it has plenty of range to go much further and back to be a practical transportation solution for college life or city life. For us, this is an expensive luxury item for why & how we are using it, but it is worth it to me. I am even convinced that I will be buying my daughters their own OneWheel Pints so all three of us can Group Ride together. I love that they are learning a board sport in their young age when I never had time / luxury to do that until about a month ago.
I knew nothing about the one wheel, but saw it at a local high end sporting goods store and was immediately interested. I've never snowboarded, but some years back I lived on the corner of a very steep 4 way, low traffic stop sign intersection, shaped like a huge bowl. I got a ripstik and learned how to carve on it, and it was such an amazing feeling. The downside is that the ripstik only works on smooth pavement and only downhill, so it's very limiting in where and how much you can use it. I live in the country now....with gravel roads, dirt trails and grassy halfpipe like ditches everywhere (for holding water during times of heavy rain, to help the farmers out by draining fields). Anyway I remembered how much fun the ripstik was....and knew from the kiosk demo videos of one wheel, that it can travel over many different types of outdoor terrain. So the high asking price is worth it because of the quality and durability of the device, and because it can be used in so many different places and year round. Mine's set to ship June 27th! Can't wait!!
Jimmy, My son and I have been trying to figure out which motorized transportation device to get for months now...we've gone back and forth from boosted boards, to scooters, segways and beyond. It's because of YOUR videos that we both realized there was really only ONE choice. ;) Thanks for your authenticity and sharing your real world adventures. Hope to see you on the pathways sometime.
I think this was the first OneWheel review video I watched earlier this summer, it just got suggested to me once again on TH-cam... I've now been enjoying my Pint for the past month!
That was a lovely narrative. Thanks for the video. Makes me look forward to spring here in northern Europe which is when I plan to buy a onewheel. I hope it will bring more enjoyment to my commute and I heard that it makes you rediscover places you've been to or around which I look forward to. I'm a bit disappointed that Future Motion did not unveil any new onewheel at CES this month but oh well. From what I heard people don't really think it lacks anything. Maybe lighter or waterproof. Maybe next year is when we'll get a suspension.
Hey Jimmy, been watching your videos for a while.. and they've been super helpful to me quite a few times in my Onewheel learning process. Thanks for putting them together. Just thought I'd also mention, your videos are getting better and better.. keep up the great work!
Thanks Derek! I appreciate you. I love going back and watching my early videos. Makes me laugh. I seeing progress and I hope for more in 2019. Thanks for watching!
The onewheel is well worth it to me. I got my XR in April 2018 and today I just made 1100 miles problem free. I live in nyc and the onewheel has taken me to places I didn’t even know existed in the city.
Seems like every other video of yours I watch you guys are on a vacation, nice to see that you can do that for your family. Hawaii is awesome we used to go every year until we had kids lol
“The sea turtle is all about the stoke.” I laughed out loud!! 😂😂 Sahhh dude. Be like the sea turtle. I loved the passive aggressive comments about video games in paradise. I feel like this is a very human video, if that makes sense. I like that. Also the mention of me made me blush lol. Awesome video Jimmy.
I just started watching your videos about a week ago, I've been strongly considering getting the XR, but whats the recharge life on an XR.. roughly? 100x? And is it hard replacing the batteries.. I'm so perplexed on what to get.. it'll be strictly for joy riding.. Been looking at the LaCroix too...
Though I smelled the heavily telegraphed metaphor a mile away, I also laughed on that inadvertently epic line (& came here to comment on it, thankfully seeing yours before I did). 😂✌️
It’s because of you dude, that I just purchased a Onewheel. I’d been on the fence for a little while because it really isn’t in the budget. But video after video I’m like, that’s it! I’m buying it! I cant wait for it to show up. I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for making my mind up for me 👍🏻
Excellent video! I watch your videos for many reasons. They are very well done, the calming narration voice and you seem to have similar sensibilities.....family first. I am purchasing a onewheel for a several reasons. One that it is constructed better than the plastic hoverboards which seem more like a child's toy. The price is high but, like you said, it should bring years of enjoyment. Keep making the videos, I will keep watching.
I just discovered the Onewheel and your videos, and I can't get enough. I'm waiting for the next version or maybe a good Black Friday sale, but I will definitely be owning one! I noticed that one of your kids had on a BYU lacrosse shirt, and as a Cougar myself I had to let you know I appreciated seeing it. I can't wait to be all about the stoke one day!
Moving to Baltimore soon and was thinking about the Onewheel XR as a commute option. What’s the learning time frame for a guy who has never skated, or snowboarded?
I’ve learned a lot from you Jimmy, thanks for sharing all this, had my pint for almost a year and finally pulled the trigger and ordered an XR that’s getting delivered tomorrow, already ordered float plates and float fender, inspired by you im going to start shooting Onewheel videos but in spanish since a few friends asked me for it!
I'm on the fence about getting a one wheel. I'm a skater and own several e-skateboards, 2 of which are off-roaders. I can buy 3 of those boards for one XR and I have loads of fun on single trail and rough terrain on those. have you tried an offroad skateboard and is floatlife 3 x better in your opinion?
Xzygy The Plus model has a small enough battery to be allowed on an airline on its own as long as you disconnect the battery and throw it in a backpack. They typically allow
Hey Jimmy, I'm Kyle's Dad. Yeah, that Kyle! I love your style. I love your low key, practical approach to life and Onewheeling. You give good advice, your appreciation and joy of life come through in each and every video. You make me smile, and that's enough to make me a subscriber. All the best!
@@freshlycharged Yes, the Kyle who both grew up in Canada and invented the Onewheel. I'll pass on your greeting. I don't ride. I'd love to, but I have a balance issue. Sadly, I need at least two wheels! 🛵
@@cocyx7 Thank you for creating the Kyle who created the Onewheel that led me to create this TH-cam channel and my blog. In a way, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing if it were not for you! ;)
Off to LA where 2 brand new one wheels await me and my son. And then off to Maui! Thanks for your channel. Thanks for the tips and inspiration. I will be sure to put toghether lots of footage. Maybe even put up a channel. Awaaay we go!!
Finally pulled the plug on getting a new XR last week. Been wanting one since the original push but didn't have the time to make it worthy. Now that the last couple years of snow have been garbage here near Buffalo it totally makes sense. Plus as I train Service Dogs it will give me something more fun and challenging for myself and dogs when doing their walk training.
I’m a noob to e-rigs & just got a powerful off-road scoot for $2200. Now I keep watching this dude’s vids, and I’d be a liar to say these aren’t strongly tempting me to buy this XR in addition (yeah, it’ll cause a divorce’a’course, but Chang’s got me considering it regardless). 😄🤙
I've gotten ~30 miles on my ow so far, and I certainly think it is worth it. It has,as expected, made my commute a lot better, and, although I haven't been able to take it out on many dedicated rides yet, the ones I have taken it on have been pretty great. I also have yet to fall on it, so hopefully I'll be able to keep the record up. The battery life on the ow+ is a bit limiting though, so I am already thinking about getting some sort of range extender.
I think one of the most important aspects of the Onewheel is it is entirely manufactured here in the United States. Created in Santa Cruz, and then built in California. I can not wait to get my one. I rode one once at Burning Man last year and that was it.
I am totally intrigued by EUC's. I hear they are harder to learn but go faster and farther. I've been looking for a used one. Got one that you recommend? Thanks for the sub!
@@freshlycharged The King Song 18XL or the Msuper X. Both can go faster than 30 mph and 50+ miles on a single charge. The King Song 16s is also good for beginners, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles. Love the videos and might have to make a Onewheel my next purchase.
I'd been wanting a Onewheel for as long as I can remember when it first came out on Kickstarter. Back then the price was still mid $1k, but the range, I thought, wasn't "worth it". Not till Future Motion released the XR that my piqued interest was finally toppled over. My own research became daily, and then I saw Slydog's vids. OMG. Onewheel needs to pay this man finder's fees or something! What finally made it worth it to take the plunge was Future Motion's Black Friday deal. I was still skeptical, but now.... but NOW I know I do not regret this purchase at all. Like you've stated in your video, I'm meeting new people and seeing things in my own neighborhood I'd otherwise never would have seen or known existed before. So is it worth it? Hell to the yes!
Wow! So glad you did a video in Maui. My Wife and I went for our honeymoon and we will be back many times again. I also want a onewheel. Thank you for the content. We stayed in the kaanapali beach hotel resort. Time of our lives. We didn't do hana like you did, maybe next time.
Don’t see the price drop any time soon. Demand for it is super high. I tried to place an order just to see and it said it ships from stock. 2-3 weeks when available. Even used ones don’t go cheap.
Thanks for the vid, makes me miss home even more ... have you tried the Pint? I don’t really need the extended range nor speed although wouldn’t hurt, im more concerned about rideability and price of course ... Am leaning towards the Pint but don’t want to regret not just saving more and getting the XR... cool vid!
Hi Jimmy. I'm a new subscriber. I've been watching a lot of one wheel videos because I'm considering buying one. Yours is the only channel I subscribe to. I'm considering buying a one-wheel because I travel to Southeast Asia a lot. Specifically Vietnam and Thailand. Although I have been to Laos, China and Hong Kong. In all of these countries the one-wheel would be useful to get from the subway to a hotel. I can explore the cities but I travel to easily without a taxi if I have a one- wheel. I'm struggling between getting a pint and an XR. It's not about the money. While always that's a consideration. It's more about does it have enough range to truly explore cities overseas. Did you have to take the battery out of it when you put it in that box for travel? I think disassembly of the battery and placing the battery in my carry-on. Then packing the remainder of the parts can a large bag suitcase might be a better option for me. I mean it can be assembled and disassembled with simple hand tools. that way I can reassemble it right at the airport and avoid the taxi stand altogether. Please give me your thoughts. I've enjoyed watching your videos.
I have not traveled overseas with my Onewheel. The XR cannot be taken on a plane. The Plus (and probably the Pint) models potentially can be taken on planes but many have reported difficulties in the past. Sorry I'm not much help.
@@freshlycharged thanks for the reply. My understanding is that the batteries are a concern in case of fire. They don't want to fire starting in the cargo compartment. If you disassemble the board before you get on and keep the battery in your carry on is allowed. The rest of the one wheel can be transported inside your normal luggage. There is a guy who took one from Sweden to Thailand. He did a TH-cam video about it. I will check with the airline ahead of time. I really enjoy your videos. I just saw the one today about taking falls. Thanks for all the great advice.
Thanks Jimmy, you publish some good stuff. To answer the question "Is it worth it?" let me answer by saying I have owned a V1 for over a year now and love it! I've ridden an XR and + for short periods so can't comment too much other than, if you want the thrill it is not going to make one iota if you pick a second hand V1 or a brand new XR (translating as the XR is too fking expensive). A decent 2nd hand V1 is going to be around 700USD vs 1800 for a new XR. I learn new stuff every time I ride my board and I don't believe having an XR would change things for me. BTW I'm not a pro skater/surfer/boarder etc.. which is where the XR would make a difference in feel, response blah blah...bla.... Also, I've ridden V1(extreme) & +(delerium) off road and prefer V1 for a better feedback (of the terrain). FYI: The V1's are no longer supported in terms of firmware updates so don't expect to be able to "tune your ride" from the app. like you can for the + & XR. Also, charger for V1 & + are compatible but not for XR. Additionally, the range I get on V1 is better than my mates +, not sure why.
I’m have been thinking about buying a one wheel XR. I’ve watched a few of your videos and I think this helped me decide. Thanks for the content. And I’m ordering the one wheel! It’s less than my computer lol. And I want it to have fun. I live right by the beach it’s dumb I don’t already own one.
Jimmy Chang got my XR last weds.. took only 2 days to arrive. Loving it got some wrist guards and a helmet only pads I’m wearing. Ended up testing the wrists on the ground day 2 going backwards lol. Other than that it’s been smooth sailing minus some foot fatigue which I’m just riding everyday and it gets less and less. Thanks again for the videos. You helped me decide to give it a go. Take it easy and keep the content coming!
@@MikeJones100_ You ROCK! Take it easy and enjoy the stoke! Thank you so much for following up! Sometimes trolls and their mean comments about my channel can discourage me, but it's people like you and your stories that keep me going! Thanks Matt! Be safe.
Getting a one wheel in a couple weeks. In my case im going to be using it to get to where i work, which is a mile away give or take. Also getting a one wheel for this purpose allows me to not need a car which in the long run considering the price of getting it registerered, tagged, insured and re-fueling makes the price entirely worth buying it. Im using it to get to work to make money and its also saving me money every month im not driving a vehicle. 😋👍
Thanks Javier! I think the PSI was 15 or so. I think more important is wheeling down by the hard packed sand. Stay away from the soaking wet sand and the soft dry sand. There's a happy medium.
Greetings from Germany. When it is not illegal anymore to drive a one wheel in germany, I will get one. Like and watch your videos. Hope I am able to ride myself one day.
Day 7 and 22 miles on my new XR and this was absolutely one the best purchases I’ve made. The joy of being outside cruising and carving in total silence is exhilarating. Edit: if this 53 yr old guy can do it, anyone can.
Oh man, you should have gone to the top off Haleakala. You would have had an awesome time on your onewheel up there! Furthermore, you would have come down with tons of mind blowing video. Lived in Wailea, Maui for 16 years. Never forget. Frankly, I'm thinking of getting a onewheel too... though for different purpose. A "practical" purpose, perish the thought. Hahaha. What practical purpose? Well, I just bought a "three-wheel". As in... an airplane. One that can fly low and very slow, and land in tiny little spots out in the boonies. When I need fuel, typically I'll land in a lawn, a field, somewhere near a gas station. But I need to haul a couple fuel bladders to the gas station to get fuel. They only weight 1 pound empty, but 35 pounds full of gasoline. So... how do I bring some kind of "vehicle" to get me from the airplane to the gas station and back to the airplane? Well, after some research, onewheel looks pretty good. Whatever I get needs to be very compact (to fit in the small cargo area), and not weigh too much. Any better ideas? Any reason the onewheel won't work for my purpose (with some practice)?
Cell phone and GoPro Hero 7 Black with a selfie stick. Underwater shots used some sort of dome thing a friend recommended I get on Amazon... amzn.to/2MoSv3H
Jimmy Chang Ah, I thought it might be a small, low-flying drone in Follow Me mode. Anyway, someday when I have time in the US I’ll rent a One Wheel and try it out.
Sea turtles and Onewheels... who would have thought?!? I loved this video and my dream is to ride in HI. I know that my Onewheel was worth it. I’m still riding a V1 and love it every time, even after a very nasty broken leg last year. Thanks for your inspiring videos (and welcome to.pros)!
As usual, well done “Johnny” ;) What I like about your videos is the thought you clearly put into the messaging. The comparison of the sea turtle to the OW was sharp and poignant. I hope one day I’ll be able to float with you at some point down the road.
"worth it" is such an emotional and unquanitfiable term, that the comparison to apple's religious following is spot on. from a technical point of view, absolutely nothing about the product justifies the "boutique" price point .. aside from a lack of competition. and looking at the cost of acessories and battery replacements makes it abundantly clear that almost everything costs about 3 times as much as comparable parts. heck, you can build your own for $300-500. and i'd much rather do that, even if they miraculously dropped the price. on the "intellectual property": they didnt invent self balancing monowheels, the focus of the patent is merely where you put your feet, and even that has been done before. so propably a good amount of the hefty premium goes into stopming out anybody attempting to brin an even remotely similiar product to the market.
you got cool vids! you obviously got your moneys worth, How many times did you say One Wheel? lol thats shows you have tme in your life to use it without regret. Congrats! i hope to be able to do the same some day.
I stayed in one of those resorts I have walked that same side walk and gone to the mall and tiki bar down the beach and the road to Hana was a long and Tight road
Nice Video!! The OW is to expensive for a 750W (0,75kW) Motor! For the same price you can buy an e-Board with 12,2kW!!!! That’s to much difference and uphill in the wood the OW come on the boundaries (perhaps only in Austria, I don’t know!), but with an e-mountainboard it’s not a problem to ride uphill in the wood on gravel! And the speed limit is also to slowly for the price! But it makes fun, but riding an e-Board too!😉
Yes. It is expensive. But it has gotten me to and from work. And electricity is suuuper cheap if not free depending where you charge. I can ride this on the beach in reeeeally deep sand and get to surf spots on Oahu most people just won’t walk to. I can surf all alone. I’ve met some of the best friends in my life, simply by going to a group ride. I broke my foot onewheeling (awkward landing while wearing crocs) and I use the onewheel to help propel my wheelchair. Orrrrr I use a beach chair on top of it to ride. EVEN with a broken foot, the onewheel provides tons of fun for me and friends. I can even pull friends on a longboard. Yes, it is expensive. As are many quality toys. I rent mine out to help recoup the cost of ownership. And I could even run a business with it. So for kids that can’t drive, a onewheel is your means of transportation. Just depends wha you make of it. As with anything. Keep up the great videos! And if you’re ever on O’ahu, check out Hawaii Float Sessions. We’ve got a huuuuge ohana, and it’s always growing.
“Playing fornite in paradise”. Hahaahhaha. My 10 year old would do the same thing. Great breakdown on these 1w’s. These are short listen for this Christmas

It's because of YOUR videos that we both realized there was really only ONE choice. ;)
Thanks for your authenticity and sharing your real world adventures. Hope to see you on the pathways sometime.
Thanks Lee! Glad I could help.
Nice video Jimmy, beautiful place and very nice family you have there. Glad to see everyone happy!
Your thought process is awesome! Love listening to your stories!
I think this was the first OneWheel review video I watched earlier this summer, it just got suggested to me once again on TH-cam... I've now been enjoying my Pint for the past month!
Thanks for the support Brian
Such an awesome story teller!!!
Thanks for the support.
Jimmy... your videos are beautiful... this one is really special. Brings tears to my eyes... thx
Thanks man! I really appreciate you.
I live in nyc and the onewheel has taken me to places I didn’t even know existed in the city.
lol couldn't your feet have taken you to see them places too?
or where you mookwalking through town prior to onewheeling...
sǝᴉʇᴉlᴉqᴉsuǝɥǝɹdɯoɔuᴉ lol my feet did take me to those places. While I was riding the Onewheel.
Sea Turtle Stoke! Thanks for your support! Just waiting for the next Slydog YT vid to hit!
Thanks for making my mind up for me 👍🏻
Thanks for the support! Good luck!
Keep making the videos, I will keep watching.
nice video! Ironically we're off to Maui in Feb with my family. Debating to bring our Christmas One Wheels.
Jimmy I love this video. Could you let me know more about that TSA approved flight case? Is this the best way to bring the onewheel on a plane?
I just discovered the Onewheel and your videos, and I can't get enough. I'm waiting for the next version or maybe a good Black Friday sale, but I will definitely be owning one! I noticed that one of your kids had on a BYU lacrosse shirt, and as a Cougar myself I had to let you know I appreciated seeing it. I can't wait to be all about the stoke one day!
Rise and shout!
Hey I've loved these videos. How much could I expect a used condition one wheel pint to cost? Presuming I'm patient
Moving to Baltimore soon and was thinking about the Onewheel XR as a commute option. What’s the learning time frame for a guy who has never skated, or snowboarded?
I had to have over 200 miles under my belt before I felt competent riding in the streets with traffic. Some may learn faster.
Jimmy Chang Ok I’ll keep that in mind and plan accordingly. I’ll try to put miles on it here on the quiet safe and flat roads of Florida. Lol
Good point you make about the cost of good products. I just ordered an XR and I'm anxiously awaiting its arrival!
With the shipping, does the case make it legal to transport or is it a small enough battery to travel on its own?
Xzygy The Plus model has a small enough battery to be allowed on an airline on its own as long as you disconnect the battery and throw it in a backpack. They typically allow
Hey Jimmy, I'm Kyle's Dad. Yeah, that Kyle! I love your style. I love your low key, practical approach to life and Onewheeling. You give good advice, your appreciation and joy of life come through in each and every video. You make me smile, and that's enough to make me a subscriber. All the best!
Thanks for watching and subscribing! Do you Onewheel? Tell Kyle I said hi! This is the Kyle who grew up in Canada, right? Or is it another Kyle?
Have fun!
Thanks for the comfort from your videos.
Thank you for all of the hard work. I can't wait to ride with you.
Are you in Denver? I'd love to try out an Eboard one of these days.
Gift the scooter to your wife. Then get the Onewheel.
Lots of amazing memories in Hawaii.
...is the $900 premium for the XP worth it over the Pico?
I rode one once at Burning Man last year and that was it.
just purchased that thing and I love it!!
I currently ride an Electric Unicycle and am interested in the Onewheel XR. Have you considered EUC's? Currently riding the King Song 18L and love it.
Very nice video just wondering how's the onewheel going up hill?
It's fine if you take it easy and carve. Accelerating up a hill is a recipe for injury.
Barry Chow no issues so far. Haven’t been anywhere comparable to San Francisco or anything. But in a regular scenario. Zips right on up.
Welcome to the Onewheel family! I'm glad you love it! People just don't understand until they own one.
Am leaning towards the Pint but don’t want to regret not just saving more and getting the XR... cool vid!
8:19 Epic video. Do you have the badger waterproofing kit installed? Riding on the sand like that makes me feel uneasy :)
nah, I've never badgered any of my boards
Hey Mr Chang, I’m 16 and looking for a used one wheel. Where do you think is the best place for me to get one online?
Depends on where you live. I found mine used via Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. Check out my blog for more.
Ok thank you!
Did you swim with your One wheel?
I should have thought of that! Would have been more magical than swimming with the turtles!
I've never been on a V1 but you can't go wrong with the OG!
What model/size SKB case do you use to transport your OW as checked baggage?
I’m have been thinking about buying a one wheel XR. I’ve watched a few of your videos and I think this helped me decide. Thanks for the content. And I’m ordering the one wheel! It’s less than my computer lol. And I want it to have fun. I live right by the beach it’s dumb I don’t already own one.
Is the Onewheel expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Yes. Man, I should be getting royalties from Future Motion!
Be safe.
safety first....isnt the ocean bad for electronics......just saying does that onewheel still work . ? im jelly
Hi Jimmy. Do you have any suggestions on what psi to use when riding on beach? Btw.. ur Maui vids are awesome!!
-EJ
Thanks Javier! I think the PSI was 15 or so. I think more important is wheeling down by the hard packed sand. Stay away from the soaking wet sand and the soft dry sand. There's a happy medium.
Great! Thx for the suggestion. I learned my lesson today on soft/wet gravel, so I wanna be prepared next time. Keep on 1wheelin’ !!
Edit: if this 53 yr old guy can do it, anyone can.
do you fly with your xr? have you had any problems flying with it?
Flying with the XR is not allowed by any airline or by TSA.
Great video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
How do you take this great footage??
Cell phone and GoPro Hero 7 Black with a selfie stick. Underwater shots used some sort of dome thing a friend recommended I get on Amazon... amzn.to/2MoSv3H
Jimmy Chang Ah, I thought it might be a small, low-flying drone in Follow Me mode. Anyway, someday when I have time in the US I’ll rent a One Wheel and try it out.
great vid!
Did you have to contact the airline to get approval to transport the onewheel?
No. Check out my blog for more in flying with the Onewheel.
As usual, well done “Johnny” ;)
What I like about your videos is the thought you clearly put into the messaging. The comparison of the sea turtle to the OW was sharp and poignant. I hope one day I’ll be able to float with you at some point down the road.
Can the onewheel XR make it on an airplane as well?
I would like to see this go down about 1/3. I think they would sell more around $1200 for the XR.
Did you buy any of your One Wheels NEW ? JUST WONDERING......STILL WATCH YOUR VIDEOS 😉👌
All 3 OWs were purchased used.

I know you told me a thousand times......LOL
Any word back from OW accepting you back???
I don’t know if I’ll ever get a one wheel, but in case I do....SUBSCRIBED!
What part of Maui was in this video?
Mostly Kaanapali coast.
I'm glad that I came across this since I am heading to Maui in a couple of weeks and I plan to take my #onewheel with me.
YES!
Yes and yes!
you got cool vids! you obviously got your moneys worth, How many times did you say One Wheel? lol thats shows you have tme in your life to use it without regret. Congrats! i hope to be able to do the same some day.
I stayed in one of those resorts I have walked that same side walk and gone to the mall and tiki bar down the beach and the road to Hana was a long and Tight road
I'm a gamer.... and I'm tired of it... gonna grab one to get out more !!! Loved the vid my dude.
The one wheel was a impulse buy for me 12 days ago.... 100 miles later I'm obcessed with it LOL.
Nice vid, why do you have 3?
Because I like to ride with my kids! 👍
Thank you
