The whole point of john wick is its unique action scenes. The story is just a means to move on to the next fight scene. If you’re someone who appreciates story in an action movie the rest of the installments are not for you. And keanu for me is the perfect casting for this due to the immense dedication he put into learning various fighting techniques and gun fights.

one detail that i noticed was when john was fighting Cassian he didn't take the knife out and referred to it as a professional courtesy but when he fought with Ares (ruby rose) he took the knife out after stabbing
Kristen didn't like that it was all just fights, she isn't gonna like chapter 3-4. She doesn't understand that people like these movies because of the Fights, the story doesn't really matters here. My opinion, Replace her with some other reactors otherwise she'll ruin the reactions by complaining that it was all just fights and no story.
Keanu has martial arts training. He knows his way around Guns and vehicles. He lost all of his loved ones. He is John Wick. There's no other actor can play it as good as him. And please continue the series, it gets real good as we keep going. Explore the world, the action, the rules. I agree the second one is a little boring but it sets up the rest of the story. It's like a part of the 4 part story. It will get very good.

After watching this franchise 1000 times one thing I gathered that this movie is very much inspired by the Max Payne video game and the Hitman video game.. same moves same rave party shootings

Kristen, At the end of the first film while you may have been very pissed off at the writer, you pretty much loved the story and the world that was created. You wanted to see more of that world and get more immersed in that world. That is exactly what this second film did. It expanded the world in which these characters survive (or don't). You learned more about the Continental Hotel and can reasonably assume that a Continental Hotle exists in most large cities. You learned about markers and the rules that surround them and you also learned about the high table which is a group of people that set the rules and govern the who, what and how this world functions. You don't get to say you did not like the film because it was more of the same. The film gave you exactly what you were asking for at the end of the first. John Wick is one of the leading assassins in this world. You really didn't expect him to turn into a dog breeder and breed Beagle puppies in this film, did you? He is going to do more of the same because that is what he does. He is not a dog breeder. As much as he might want to be retired, circumstances are not going to permit that. It would actually be a pretty boring film if he were allowed to just go home and retire with his new dog. So how did you expect them to expend the world without John finding himself in more situations where he had to kill more people and killing those people lead to having to kill even more people? That is the crux of the franchise, and you were all for learning more about this world at the end of the first film. So, while I guess you can complain about them giving you exactly what you were raving you wanted more of at the end of the first film, you ruin any credibility you have established in past reactions that has made you sound like you know what you are talking about. Unfortunately, you have already published this reaction, but you really should have thought before speaking at the end of this film. The damage is done now.
