Hey i just wanted to say thank you. You inspired me to start welding about a year and 1/2 ago. Got my first truck 1 year ago, and last week, i got my first engine drive welder. I made more in my first welding job than i made in 2 weeks working in a warehouse.
It’s always good to carry along a 2x4 stud for leverage. At 1:55, a stud against the top of the rail and braced to your truck would have made the straightening an easy adjustment. So glad to see the homeowner and you wanting to preserve the historical value. Good job!
Pretty cool Anthony! My Grandparents lived in the big white house that used to be on that property. I grew up playing in that giant yard! The house is a few blocks north now. Im an aspiring welder. I appreciate your inspiring videos. People who don't, well we know what they can go do.... Thanks for the videos!
I love your videos, I’ve been in the metal fabrication business for 40 years. I was taught years ago that you want to apply heat to were you want to shrink the metal, on that post you applied too much heat and caused it to go the wrong direction.. Keep up the Great work 👍🏻🇺🇸
Great job , i like all of your videos. Thanks for explaining why no prep. We must preserve our history. Can’t wait for your next welding adventure. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
When you focus the heat primarily in the front it causes the front of the bar to shrink when cooled, bending the bar toward. You can straighten the bar without pulling to extend just by heating strategically and then cooling with air
heck yea!!! been waitin for a new video :) i did a similar thing on a weed eater bracket on a utility trailer and fixed some broken welds on . good job as always !
Yo anthony aint been here in a min!! One of the things i was paying attention to was the time lapse on the video from noon to dawn trying to get that shi right lot of foos dont get the time it takes forreal if u like what u saw like the vid if you dont GFY 🤣🤣 shout out from Anaheim big dog
Keep them coming brother!! Great vid 🤟🫡 starting my own welding bussines and ur a great part of my learning, thanks for spreading ur knowledge and being upfront w it, no sugar coating
Hells yeah bro some new stuff I’m been watching for couple weeks now I like your content a lot been getting me motivated to do similar kind thing in northeast I went bout piece shit engine drive to restore I don’t have truck but I do have hitch for trailer so I’m gonna go that route untill I can upgrade
I hope you don't mind me giving a recommendation, but instead of ratchet straps maybe a come along might have bent it back a little better? I got one that goes up to 3/4 ton that I use to bend heavy duty mudflap brackets back into place with.
Hey I just found your channel. I want to start mobile welding, I planned on getting a truck and some tools. What are some now tool do I need to buy to start. Ps I love your video very helpful 🙏
Nice work, I’m thinking a cable come along would be a little better than the ratchet strap but that’s just coming from a dumb forklift production mig welder congrats on 100k
You can fix that thing with two hammers. Big hammers. I think two two-pound hammers will do the trick. Hit one with your left hand like an anvil on the other. The oxygen and the truck seemed odd, but it's still a good job.
I’ve been welding on steel flat beds for the last 3 years … I’ll look over and notice the ground isn’t even on my item. Yet grounding perfectly okay. 2019 f350 4 door .. never had any electrical issues yet haha. It’s more of a myth it will fry computers and shit
You did not get that straight I would have tried a little harder on that second piece their was a bend in the bottom bracket you missed. I understand field work is not always practical so good enough. thanks for the share brotha.
Want to get side work but its pretty hard around my area. No hits using the normal ways except time wasters. To many farmers that fix their own stuff 😂
Hey man I watch a lot of your videos and I notice you use ratchets a lot. I’m a commercial fence guy and we use the crap out of come alongs. Get a lot more leverage and pulling power. I’ve got about 1/2 a dozen on my rig. Just thought you may get some good use out of one.
I know you know what you're doing, but you'd be able to manipulate it a lot better with a chain hoist from harbor freight. I keep one in my truck for things like that. Lot more ass than a ratchet strap
I have a stupid idea. It may or may not work. I’m not sure what you’re using to hook your leads to the machine. How ever, if you were able to add an extra lug or something to where you could have 2 grounds. One permanent to the vice and the other just like normal. If this sounds dumb, I’m sorry. I was just thinking how much it sucks to run back and get the ground clamp and have to fight with all the leads.
That’s exactly what I thought. You and the owner sat down and wanted to preserve the antique fence. Nice work, brother.
*That blacksmith that died 160 years ago is happy you saved his fence and the Yellowstone elevation looks like it agrees with you.*

That's huge, congrats
Keep going bro!!
What a unexpected treat. Good to hear from you
Thanks bud

I’m a welder in school right now and your videos are very informative I love that you explain every step
Awesome! Thank you!
Join a Union. You will be glad you did later-when you want to retire.

Thanks to the camera operator. Great team work.
Haven't seen you in quite a while man, great to see you in action again!
I love your videos, I’ve been in the metal fabrication business for 40 years. I was taught years ago that you want to apply heat to were you want to shrink the metal, on that post you applied too much heat and caused it to go the wrong direction.. Keep up the Great work 👍🏻🇺🇸
You’re the man Anthony! You inspired me to start my own side hustle 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you. I always learn something from your videos. The fence looks great.
At 6:24 when he says “I need a ground, don’t I” I felt that
At 6:20 “Need a fuckin ground…” 😂 been there a few times!
Great job , i like all of your videos. Thanks for explaining why no prep. We must preserve our history. Can’t wait for your next welding adventure. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your content, I always learn a lot about overcoming problems on the field
Good video. Enjoy it as always have a great day!!
You too bud
congrats on the 100,001 subs
The spots you did have to grind you can brush some vinegar on then spray a little peroxide and it will flash rust in minutes

Trying to start a mobile business in the northeast and I love your content man!
Thanks!
Great job looks great 👍 👌
Always good to see a new video. You keep me motivated. I also just got a trailblazer 302, I so badly want to start my own gig. Thank you Anthony
Excellent repair & attention to detail, love it!
Thank you very much!
Hell yea Rockstar!!! 100K and an awesome fence repair! What a fuckin' great video! Hammer down pedal to the floor pal!
Good job. Good to see a new video.

As always something new and interesting
Keep them coming brother!! Great vid 🤟🫡 starting my own welding bussines and ur a great part of my learning, thanks for spreading ur knowledge and being upfront w it, no sugar coating

Good to see a new video, btw you doing fabtech this year.
Yes I am! Come get a free sticker!
If you didn't like it....
Classic!
Good to see a new video bro
Hey man thanks for posting I have learned a lot from your videos.
Glad to hear it
aye congratulation on 100k gonna have the play button in the post soon ;)
I wonder when they send that
Props for not accidently torch cutting the ratchet straps! 😂
It don’t look like it but I keep a eye on where it’s pointing at all times lol
Good to see a full video. ✌🏻
Great video and work always love how you explain things and why your doing it that way 👍👍
Great job mate
lol.. the “if you didn’t like it, go fuck yourself” with the people walking by in the background 🤣🤣🤜🏼🤛🏼💥
Just remember they called you not any of the trolls… you are inspiring.
The GFY at the end really brought it all together 🥹
nice work i agree keeping look awesome too
Hickey bar would have worked wonders there.
Ennis is a nice little town!
“…if you didn’t like it, well GFY.” Hilarious!!! 😅😅
I like how you verbalize your thought process. Curious how you estimated this job.
Was that a 6010 rod?
Hells yeah bro some new stuff I’m been watching for couple weeks now I like your content a lot been getting me motivated to do similar kind thing in northeast I went bout piece shit engine drive to restore I don’t have truck but I do have hitch for trailer so I’m gonna go that route untill I can upgrade
You got this!
6:25 every welders pet peeve 🤣
Love that outro. Love this channel.
I love how there were people walking by as you said your outro. They were probably laughing when they heard "Well go F yourself." Lol.
this guy is frickin hilarious, i laughed so hard at that part lol
100 year old fence repair , kicks fk out of it ! Ha ha , only joking Meltin . Good job man 👍
Get a come along and it works way better than melting your ratchet tie downs. Good work👍
I hope you don't mind me giving a recommendation, but instead of ratchet straps maybe a come along might have bent it back a little better? I got one that goes up to 3/4 ton that I use to bend heavy duty mudflap brackets back into place with.
when you heat one side more than the other side - it expand more, BUT ! later - it shrinks more than "cold" side.
Very true
Hey I just found your channel. I want to start mobile welding, I planned on getting a truck and some tools. What are some now tool do I need to buy to start.
Ps I love your video very helpful 🙏
What type of welding helmet do you recommend for a beginner like me?
For repairs like that a couple of high life farm jacks would be real handy for bending.
Use them like manual porta powers.
Hello man, tell me what kind of red electrodes the full name is
Cast iron sparks look like sparklers going off
love it
Nice work, I’m thinking a cable come along would be a little better than the ratchet strap but that’s just coming from a dumb forklift production mig welder congrats on 100k

Yesss a new video, congrats on 100k
Thanks bud!
I am not a welder but how did the grass not catch on fire from all the sparks sent out while you were welding? This why I could never be one to ask.
its alot harder for alive grass to catch on fire than dead grass. maybe he just threw a lil water on it as well
👆
hey anthony, do you ever disconnect the positive cable on your truck battery before welding anything attached to your vise?
If the car is running, nothing will happen.
No it would be odd for the electric to travel that far. It finds the path of least resistance
He make it so difficult to fixed
Might be worth investing in a 1/2 ton come a long. I feel so sketchy using a ratchet strap that way
Want to get side work but its pretty hard around my area. No hits using the normal ways except time wasters. To many farmers that fix their own stuff 😂
Always a way! Just find something people need and fill the niche
Could you simply use a piece of angled barstock and some C clamps to bend that back into shape after heating and also kept it straight?
Possibly
It hurts my head when guys use tie down straps for come alongs. Surely, by now, you can afford real tools. Good show as always. ✌️
They’re quicker for small shit
Ehh, we've got a wee i think 1-2 ton cone along at work. Real handy on most stuff due to the size
you in in Missoula? i miss the Zoo town!
I have one when I pull on big stuff. Little stuff like this, I like the straps
I would’ve cut out the bent ones and put new ones.
Just burn the bottom in and pull them together with a comealong (ratchet strap)??
Looks like you needed a half ton come along/lever chain hoist.
I know you know what you're doing, but you'd be able to manipulate it a lot better with a chain hoist from harbor freight. I keep one in my truck for things like that. Lot more ass than a ratchet strap
That’s really not my fault
Did you hit the fence 😂
“Shouldn’t of been standing there”
Happy Gilmore
In Germany we would say " Das hat zu lange gedauert"
"i need a ground dont i" nah lol
11:03
Just heat up and hammer no straps needed
Use dark safety glasses > Face shields and no eye protection lol
Did you burn your hand 😁
Pretty sure the whole concrete edging is crooked
You sponsored by rock mount? Or pay hundreds of dollars every time?😂they worth it tho.
Nah only criticism was not straighting the top and then welding the bottom before ever cutting the poles now the one side you cut is short lol
Get a cable comalong and I’m sure u will
Have one. Use it on stuff that I really need to move
real world keeping patina.. you aren't the one with a cookie cutter welding job and bad opinions. I wouldn't even mention them.
Ports press woulda been better
Waste of time
@@MeltinMetalAnthony lol 😝
Come along would work better.
Now on your evening walk with your boyfriend, you can show him the fence you fixed. He will definitely be proud and let you hold his hand now Anthony!
All the wrong points of contact what a joker 😂
