The JD is getting the job done.I am very impressed on the tractor's capabilities.Good morning Ben and Benny.Great job too the both of you.Stay safe, be careful and have a blessed day.🚜👏👍❤️🙏
Ben, I have seen you pulling out some big logs with your Kubota but your new John Deere amazes me pulling out logs up that steep grade. I think it pulls better than the Kubota. You did a fantastic job cutting those trees so you could skid them out. That was a very tricky and dangerous job. You made it look easy. Very enjoyable video Ben. Thanks
That is a really steep pull for any tractor, but the jd came through with flying colors. Cutting trees with tension are dangerous under the best of circumstances. I’m 64 and still remember how many stitches it took to sew up my forehead when I was 18 because a limb under pressure flew back and sent me sailing. 33 stitches and a concussion for a bonus. Stay safe and God bless you Ben!
You did a good job reading those trees, Ben. Cutting those downed trees is one of the most dangerous things to do given not only the root-wad pressure, but couple that with being snagged against standing timber. Great job. I’m glad Benny was around for this one. I think your viewers would be amazed if they ever saw the steepness of the hills you’re crawling up & down. Give my best to your Dad, son. He’s proud of your skill set - so am I.
Great job. You have some steep hills and hollows to deal with. Glad you got it done in one piece with the loaded up tree. I have been there and it’s hard on the nerves. 👍
Very nicely done, there’s a lot of people that do not take in consideration the amount of pressure that’s on a tree like that, nor do they consider it barber chairing on them, it’s a real quick way to get injured real bad or even killed, I am glad that you took the time to explain why you were doing what you did, it looks like you are getting to know the new John Deere even more. That is a lot of real good wood that the Lord blessed you to be able to get. I am glad that your dad was able to be with you, you had mentioned that you was going to have someone with you on this job. That got me to thinking does you wife watch your videos and if so how does it make her feel? I pray that God continues to watch over you and your family
My wife watches as I rewatch them occasionally. But she doesn’t seem to worry much, or least never checks on me if I’m gone extended periods of time. Thanks for watching
Love the new John Deere! It’s seems pretty sure footed on those steep hills. It definitely puts the power to the ground. That tractor is a pulling machine. Thanks for sharing. I am really enjoying your channel!
Great video ya'll!! It's great to see Dad n Son out enjoyin the tractor work. John Deere did the job with ease. Ben great job cuttin them trees. Thanks for sharing be safe Happy New Year to ya'll n family.
Ben you were dealing with a bona fide widow maker with that mess of tangled trees. I was thinking I would have pulled the tree on this side of that bent hickory from the top and tried to break it free at the root then deal with the rest but you did it masterfully.
Ben, something I have tried with success with a tree bent over loaded by a fallen tree was to cut the bent tree with a polesaw, I had plenty of control over the cut but felt I was over to the side enough to be safe.
Totally agree with the idea of using a pole saw in that situation. It may take a little more time but definitely a lot safer I invested in a cheap $179 dollar pole saw and ended up just giving it away. I bought a Stihl and one of the best purchases I ever made. I did not get one with the telescoping handle because it would have been to hard on my back Thanks
Well, I have to admit, I was a little concerned about your safety when you cut the lodged little chestnut, but you did good. Being down hill and the potential for the upper lodged trees could be a real hazard, but you did it pretty cautiously, good job! Yeah, the JD 5067E did a nice job pulling those logs. Have a good weekend!
Good work session Ben. I’ve got hilly property up here in Pennsylvania and I know that the camera never shows how steep a grade is. Good work getting those tangled blow downs laying down on the ground! I love hearing the turbo whistling when she’s pulling. My Mahindra does the same thing and it always makes me smile and feel like there’s good hard pulling going on. Stay safe and that wood is going to provide you good heat. How does she pull compared to the Kubota? Does the extra weight help?
I was praying God please don’t let those logs roll on Ben while he’s sawing!! Looks like the Deere is picking up where the Kubota left off pretty good!! I was very impressed!!

You need a skidding winch about as bad as anyone I've ever seen. You still using the grapple you made? A good test when it dries out will be your 4 way blade!
Because I was ready for a change. I’m open minded enough to try different things within reason. The Deere is definitely a heavier machine I can tell already. Thanks for watching
You’re more than welcome to send a further explanation of that method you’d use since you’re the smart one. Lift the end reduces drag but also lightens the front end. No way with a loader this tractor would flip backwards pulling like I was. It will spin out first, that’s common sense.
