- I did some research and I didn't find any other clips or videos of anyone else having done this yet, but as grasp of avarice and eager edge have been out for so long, there's prolly at least a couple of guys who have done this so not gonna clickbait WORLD'S FIRST in the thumbnail. Neither does Shatterskate. It just needs a downward slope. I still really want to find a way to get pheonix dive to work with eager edge.
heard multiple people say that shatter works on slopes and well requires ledges but apparently they were all wrong
pheonix isnt the same, idrk how to explain it but it works differently so you cant skate w it
edit: best way to explain it is the casting animation

@ it just needs uneven ground. A tiny area thats higher than the rest for you to gain the momentum. When you touch the ground you lose speeed

You've clearly never seen slipstreaming. As much as sparrow tech annoys me it is superior in cases where sparrows are available. It's just so much harder to learn than wellskating or shatter skating. One takes an hour to learn. The other takes a month if not a year

...... I know I'm nitpicking, but I wouldn't say it "doesn't need a ledge" exactly... Just enough space for you to jump+Well before going airborne.
Ledge just makes it easy.
I've done about 3/4 of this just with wellskate but dropped the well before D so had to finish with a sparrow. Nice job ! For ease of use I think shatterskate still wins but the distance with well is very impressive.

It's never required a ledge though. Just that the ground below is some sort of slope/different elevation. It's nothing new just underutilised on well compared to shatterdive.
Shatterskate and well skate actually just need a flat surface so you can jump but shatterskate takes a slightly downward slope

it's gotten even better with heat rises and icarus dash, but you're already going too fast at many parts so it's hard to make use of the speed
@ As of right now I only use it for fun or to show off but being able to actually utilize it, like you did, is definitely something I'm going to aim for. As you mentioned speed can be an issue and in most situations the swordskate alone is more than enough, you barely ever need icarus dash, but the solar 3.0 is definitely a nice change. I personally prefer Hunter movement and when you fail you don't loose your super so that's what I go for.
Ground skating also works. where you well/shatter skate off of a flat surface. combo is a bit more complex, but doable.

@@nouralghoul8930 you light attack for regular skating when not using shatterdive or well, but for the combos for the super skate you need to do the heavy attack

Yeah it technically doesn’t, but downwards slopes are like the same thing so it’s acting like a ledge. Small ledge or big one if your don’t connect with the floor prematurely then you’ll be ok really.

For those who can't do it. I really recommand Scrub's video with slowmo + keycam. Basically you heavy attack and you super+Jump well before the animation ends as you need to preserve the momentum.

It's the exact same way, same timing and everything. The only difference is super vs shatter button.

I have xbox clips of myself doing this. Any downward slope works.
if u are used to it enough u can skate on a 1cm ledge on the floor, I did it on occasions

it's POSSIBLE on controller, but not PLAUSIBLE
perfectly doable on a controller, got a quick 1min guide on well skate and a vid where I learn to skate on controller
making super press instead of hold helps a lot on controller

I've been shatterdive skating for months now both with worldline and eager edge. The surface you stand on must be slightly sloped downward or near a ledge. It's impossible to do it on a flat surface with no ledge, just to clear things up
In the clips you were technically on a downwards slope even though it looks flat
Only way to skate on a completely flat surface with no nearby edge is to stand on your sparrow

I need this guy on my team. Also, I hate sparrows for being just a tad too slow, way too weak, and completely defenseless.
I got the raid sparrow, always on time. my friends were mocking me for wasting so much resources, now they count on me to finish this part! Besides being faster than any other sparrow, enemies don’t shoot at you right away.

No, in this video all of these either have a ledge or enough of a downward slope for it to work. The new tech is a different series of inputs than normal skating

I'm guessing it's because you're either on a slight downward slope (which has always worked) or because the well animation puts you a bit in the air. Either way, very nice.

I regularly hunter shatterdive skate, people were saying you need to run, you need a ledge, you need a slope
But the reality is that’s all false.
I play on ps4 and as long as you press the buttons right you can skate starting on a flat surface without prior movements.
You needed to run for the worldline one right? Probably them remembering it as part of the old sequence, I know I still run because it feels wrong not to.
It isn't possible on pure flat surfaces, You need a very small amount of height to cancel the heavy animation with shatterdive, On the ground attempting the macro will simply throw the heavy, You need to be off the ground for the shatter to proc
