Well my 65 inch 4k LG tv has finally given up. I have no picture but the sound and back light works. Let's see if I can fix it or if I fail. Follow me on Twitter: / dgk861
When I was in HVAC for 20 years. We had a name for this particular type of service tech, they are called parts changers. T StRt changing parts and just hope they got the unit working again. They didn't have a clue.
I have an old Dynex I got in 2007 from BestBuy when LCDs were new to the scene, that thing is still going. Currently my garage TV so it is super dusty and has outlasted 4 other TVs!
Got a Phillips 3D TV since before my youngest daughter was born (around 15 years ago). Never, ever had no problem at all and never ever anyone wasn't dusting the thing. Still working.
There is a chance the ribbon cable is at fault for this aswell, saw recently that you could use tape and cover a portion and just do trial and error to see if it works or not. But if it doesnt, def not worth the replacement on the panel.
@@UnboundGodz There is a protocol in place to find out what's at fault, exactly. There's a flat panel test image generator anyone can use to see if the panel is fine or not. That's what should be tested first. Obviously there's voltage measurements before that but if all voltages are there the next thing is to test if the panel is working or not. Only after that there's the cable which could make a bad contact at some of the pins (alcohol cleaning), test pins soldering connections (I've seen lose pins on connectors for ribbon cables). Like I said it's a step by step process and panel could be very much fine.
This lg smart tv is the biggest piece of Shit tv I’ve ever had. Had to warranty the boards within couple months of being plugged in. Tv didn’t even get used that much. I’ve had nothing but problems with it

Keep your spirit from Indonesia
Nice to meet your video
So u didn’t mess with the ribbon cables as I’ve seen in other videos with same problem?
Exactly! Tape them
This don't work
I did a similar thing but just took the loss because I think it's unethical to use someone's part for testing and then send it back for a refund .
I have this problem now :( it’s barely even 3 years old and somehow my 20 year old tv still works perfectly.

Same here. Had mine around 4 years. Lost what faith I had in LG products for sure. Will not ve purchasing anything LG from this point forward.
Thanks for wasting my time
