When you look up at the video because he stopped talking, then he sneezed and scares you! lol bless you!
And I just got to that part 😂
I'm about to take my last mechanics related final in exactly 2 hours. In 6 months I will finally have my Mechanical Engineering degree. I credit this man for a lot of my success with the traditional mechanics sequence course that uses the Hibbeler textbook. A few times for machine design classes I even went back to his lectures to double check my understanding of things. I thought it only fitting to go here first when I wanted to refresh a few skills I haven't messed with in a while just in case it shows up on my final today.
glad you made it!
hope u got it
@@gokublack9080 I did indeed.
awesome!! I'm taking my strength of materials final tomorrow and this guy literally makes finding the centroids of composite shapes easy!! "still struggle with it"
3:20, the start of COVID in america
😂
lol
Bless you
I was listening to the video through my home theatre system. I think the whole town heard his sneeze🤣🤣. Apart from that good lecture.👍👍
3:15 Man! that woke me up while studying at 1:30 PM... Thanks!
Sir, I can't thank you enough for your videos. You are an amazing lecturer and I would not be passing my statics class without you and I'm sure other student would agree. You are truly an amazing person for changing so many lives. Thank you!
that sneeze caught me off guard not gonna lie. Fantastic teaching though, thank you so much!
Thank you so much DrHanson!
It's so refreshing watching a lecture by a teacher who cares about people understanding and likes his job.
You are a breath of fresh air.
Thank you so much for the clear and life saving explanation haha. I am feeling like I have a chance at this test after watching and re-doing your examples by hand. Thank you a million!
Interesting. I kind of wish my teacher made it clear we could put centroids on empty spaces and consider subtracting its area from the overall area.
I increased the volume to max because I couldn't hear clearly. Guess what I heard clearly, the sneeze at max volume 😂, I nearly woke my roomies.
Thanks professor though. Your explanation will go a long way
as a NUST student from Namibia im not going to lie mr hanson has helped alot thru out statics and make sure u also follow his teachings if u r from there:)
bless you and this is great, I have been watching your videos all day, thank you.
Professor Hanson, thank for another beautiful lecture on Centroid Using composite Shapes, Center of Area. I really enjoyed solving these problems in Statics.
That was a mighty sneeze. Bless you
Hats off to you I was cosidering skipping centroids entirely before writing my trial now I definitely won't
3:14 After I stopped laughing from Jeff sneezing I started to sneeze myself, not even joking 😂
Jeff Hanson? More like Jeff Handsome! Keep of the great work! I'm loving these videos, super helpful
Amazing tutorial, made it super easy. Great job, thanks!
bless you for that sneeze and for the lesson
You just made my degree a whole lot easier. Thank you so much!!!!!!
Thank you Dr. Hanson.
Does any one one has any thoughts on why after I tried it the other way subtracting the triangle from the rectangle and my answers where close but not the same?
I love your teaching so much!!!!!!
All the way from Nigeria, sir, this has helped me a lot. Thank you so much, sir.
This helped, I understand it, and I started using negatives for empty areas and it scared me, but you reinforced my thought that it was true and that you do use negatives for totaling with empty shapes
Gosh i love you for this! Thank you ❤️🙏🏽
You the reason I’m going to pass my statics final...Bless 🙏🏾
same lol
facts
studying for the final now, in 3 days! lol
omg, I am back, and I passed my test with a 100% score thanks to you. Thank you.
Bless you!
Idk why this table system never came up in class. This is brilliant
He sneezes 😂😂😂I love you. You're amazing
holy moly that sneeze was insaaaaaaaneeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!
Didn't know centroid is so easy like this😂
Thanks Sir Jeff!
method of finding centroids of composite shapes, really good
Jeff, you're amazing and I love you dearly. HOWEVER, could you please fix the fact that your intro volume is 5x louder than the rest of the video hahahahaha it blows my eardrums out every time
Your truly saving me
ok, this was easy to understand, thanks
thanks for the sneeze, it helped me to focus at 2 AM 🤣
2:50 for triangle, isnt the x-bar base/2 and the y-bar is 1 third of h?
3:20 Bless you!
Bless you :)
Thank you
I had my speaker turned up and was looking at my paper. Almost crapped myself when he sneezed hahahaha
Thank you sir ❤️
My third day of centroid these centroid sucked my blood I am at problem 50 in book
Physicist stepped on Mars but they couldn't find easy way to find centroid every problem have different formula and I am weak in derivative differentiation graph geometry shapes thier area volume
But still positive for every solution I watch 4 to 5 may be more videos then try to solve
You done great job you are legend its because of you I am at ch 9 had no Problem previous chapter and also this chapter you explain brilliantly it's me Don't have basic knowledge of before chapter 9 but I will overcome
Hey jeff, fun fact my community college statics teacher cant find the time to teach us, since teaching remotely from halfway across the country in a nice warm state is so hard. She now has only posted 22 slides and a few of YOUR videos for the entirety of our curriculum for chapters 9 and 10 out of the pearson Engineering Mechanics : Statics book 14e. Do you allow this, should I reach out to my school about this?
omg I was on the Calculator wearing my headphones thx doc Lol ):
and bless u (:
The sneezing LOL
bless you.
bless you :D
Bless you 😅
I like table method!!!
😂 the sneeze though
bless you
thank you, just.... thank you.
How the area became negetive for circle?
Super
3:30 , bless you!
What if the rectangle and triangle was different densities
ASHHHHH SHOOOOW!
Why is the area of the circle negative?
Because there is a hole in the part. The area isn’t there, therefore we need to subtract it away.
why mister is the X in a rectangle is 0.35 ?
3:19 Bless you! 🤧
Goated
3:20 it scared me lol😂😅
why is the .6 and .7 getting halved at the start?
the centroid of the rectangle is located at intersection of half it's base and half it's length.
3:17 bless you
Woow 100%
teacher why you don't came University of Gondar
am confused by y bar on second shape can anyone explain
Have you gotten the answer
the sneezee though
O_O Bless you ☔ 3:16
3:25 God bless you.
Mr Jeff
3:18
👍🏻
The x bar is not one third of the base it’s 2 third of the base
thats what i did too
It's 2/3 of the base if you were to do it from the low side, so basically the same thing. He did it from the high side of the triangle and that's why he used the 1/3. Don't forget that 2/3 + 1/3 = 1
4:50 why is area negative???
Because we subtract that region from the main region. It is not there, we assume it is there, and because of that, we have to put a minus in front of it to show that it is not a "real region".
god
u scared the shit out of me on 3;20
Time 8:42 lmao thank you
Sir i'm not able to understand the negative sign taken for area of circle
The circle is missing from the shape, it's an empty space. So you negative those empty spaces for the area
Ok sir
4:36 why the area should be negative
because the area will not be included in. The circle is a hole
From the bottom of my heart, thank you
Didn’t try to cover that sneeze
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤠🤠🤠🤠
Why are using points before the numbers, it is little annoying
R.I.P to earphone users
I understood everything in statics but tell me why tf did this section give me a hard time
بس اني عراقي هنا😂
You could’ve cut the part where you sneezed pal not really professional
bless you 2:55
3:17 lmao🤣
Bless you
