    Oh when you show it with two colors it is much better to understand. Thank you so much! Just started paracording two weeks ago and I'm really getting enjoying so much. My wife just asked me to make a circular table mat for dining table decorating lol

    Fab tutorial, Tim. I had not quite gotten a perfect result, yet. This tutorial is much, much clearer than the old one, and I finally have a perfect diamond knot at the end of a bracelet!

    thank you for redoing this knot's video. the original one done with the same color strand was much harder to tell where you are weaving the strands through. this one with the dual colors was much easier to see and understand. almost pulled out off of the remaining few strands of hair on my head trying to figure out this knot watching the original video lol...

    Hey Tim
    This damn knot is the bane of my existence. No matter how many vids I watch, I just can't get it. Followed your vid once, and I got it!! Thanks. Keep up the great work!

    I tried to follow a cable organizing video and I kept getting squished misshapen knots that I knew were wrong until I got super lucky and got a nice diamond knot. Then I looked for a "2 cord version" and this video made it much easier to memorize.

    Excellent video on this knot. If I may offer a suggestion: I've been using this knot since the 70s and have a slightly different technique for the part of the video (Time index 1:20 - 1:35).
    If you pull up slightly on the orange part that is beneath the center of the loop, you can quickly, and easily, pass the working end of the orange directly under the part you just pulled up. You'll get to the point that you can do the entire knot with your eyes closed.
    Just a tip. Thanks for posting a very excellent video.

    Wow this is aggravating!
    You explain and show it so well, thank you! BUT, I just can't grasp the understanding to adjust it down toward the bracelet... no matter what I do, it doesn't go down OR it just gets all distorted.

      Naw, dawg. I was struggling hard too, especially when I went to the next step up and did the wide diamond knot. You really gotta make sure that when you go through the back side, you strands are going around the static strands (loop strands) in the correct direction.

    Great tutorial! Is there a way to create this knot without joining the 2 different color strands? I'd like to make a 2 color knot for a zipper pull. I'd rather not see the joined section. Thanks in advance!

    I'm wondering how difficult it would be to make a 6 strand diamond. Just got finished making a leash and after trying a few different knots just settled on a spiral crown sinnet. Now that I'm typing this question and watching the video again I'm thinking about just grabbing some scrap cord and seeing how difficult more strands would be.

    How long does the piece have to be roughly?

    • @TheWeaversofEternity
      @TheWeaversofEternity  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tyler Birkett To be able to tie the knot easily, at least a foot I'd say. But if you have less you can still do it, it'll just be a bit more difficult.

    • @colourbomb4877
      @colourbomb4877 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks for the reply. i figured it out, your videos have been very helpful. I have done some snake knots on my knifes for lanyards also.

  • @dylanbond1627
    @dylanbond1627 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well made but something gets lost in translation if you're using the knot to terminate a knife lanyard vs having the strands coming out from between your fingers. I've tried at least 5 times now.

    Your tutorials are great, but that bamboo mat you use is horrible. All the vertical lines overload graphics cards like a weatherman wearing a checkered shirt against a green screen projection. But there is no doubt you know your stuff. Keep up the good work.

      @TheWeaversofEternity  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Angst the pale thanks! I guess I've never thought of it that way. Mainly I guess because I've always had a powerful graphics card. Perhaps a change is in order for the background! :)
