I've had 5 drones from DJI...seems like every year they keep adding more and more features on their drones. Love my Mavic Air 2 so far. Can't wait to see what the Mavic 3 will hold for us.
Pressing the Fn button to use the scroll wheel for zoom is AMAZING. I can’t believe after all the videos I’ve watched I just found out about that feature. DJI always seems to amaze me.
A person can zoom the way you just showed then snap a photo, will be perfect, thank you for your videos i learn alot and it also helps me find new things.
I didn’t think this drone could be much better than the Mavic Air BUT IT IS!!! Occusync 2.0 is the major benefit but all this little extra updates make the Mavic Air 2 a clear winner now. And this zoom feature is fantastic to see. I would imagine you can get some wicked video while flying forward and zooming out, or by flying back and zooming in.

Good morning Aldryn, had a chance to test this feature this morning, amazing. It's going to be so much fun, like having three lenses on the drone! I'm not sure if you touched on it but the icon above the return to home allows you to toggle the fly straight mode on and off from the screen. I'm sure most of your subscribers have already found this feature. Thanks for the video!

I love my air 2s but my biggest gripe is the controller I’d like to see them use a controller designed like the parrot anafi sky controller it had individual buttons dedicated for zoom and gimbal control and made it so easy for shots with a moving the drone and gimbal and zooming at the same time
Regarding use of the FN Button to reset the Gimbal, it should be mentioned that this button can also be set to turn on the spotlight mounted in the bottom of the MA2, in which case resetting the Gimbal would require 2 presses each time.
thanks for all your videos, just got my Mavic 2, I use a iPhone 8, is there a cellphone with a bigger screen and brighter picture that works well with DJI fly. What do you use? I can see in a smartcontroller in my future, when the covid 19 goes.
Thanks Aldryn. Didn’t know about the slider on zoom button or the function + jug wheel. I don’t understand why DJI doesn’t give detailed instructions or in depth manuals for their products. The DJI fly app for editing videos is all trial and error. Frustrating.

What I miss with Fly app it’s a lack of flying line on the map. Or maybe I do not know how to access? It was a grate tool to control flight if you do not know the area and would like to fly back on the same path.
Aldryn... why is it we now have waypoints for hyperlapse but don't have waypoint capabilities for regular shooting? It would be great to be able to do that. Thoughts?

Digital zoom is simply cropping in on the photo. I would guess that if you shoot a 48 MP still and then crop in post you get the exact same effect plus you have the advantage of being able to adjust your crop in the image to get the best composition.

You can also do Dolly Zoom with the Air 2. Zoom in or out while going forward or backwards in Tripod mode, that will give you the Dolly zoom affect.

Can you plot a zoom setting when using Waypoints? I have a Mavic 2 Pro, but would consider buying a MA2 if it had that function.
