They removed instant green because as soon as they see it their teammates can just instantly run back on defense. The delay creates uncertainty and they’ll have to choose to either go for offensive board or go back on defense

Pretty much the opposite lmao. All it did was say someone grinded more, and gave a competive advantage lol.
Most of the time people with higher rep just used some glitch or hasn’t seen sunlight for months and just abused the game mechanics like screens, and left righting, Zens etc to get that rep and most of them were terrible teammates. Also having a higher rep in older games actually boosted their attributes while lowering the opponents attributes so they were always at an advantage. Players with lower rep would become slower, less defensive impact, lose the ball more and stop dribbling normally, and you would miss many full whites and get green animations for it.
I do like the old system Better than what it is now bc it gives people who don’t have much time or doesn’t cheat a fair advantage to reach the rep everyone else has but, it gives higher reps an unfair advantage and it takes longer for someone who plays other games or actually has a life a major disadvantage

1: the old green animations caused more cherry picking to the point it’s not realistic. Although I’m not big fan of the delayed greens, it punishes people for doing so. In older 2ks people would literally abuse this especially during events.
What they should do is make it so that your only able to see your own green animation and no one else so that will still reduce cherry picking while also giving you the freedom of seeing your own green animation and the ability to choose the animation of your choosing.
2: although I do like the old rep system better bc it made people who played more casual still able to reach a higher rep and get better rewards, it still had its flaws. It took way too long to reach the next rep which also gave people with higher rep an Advantage bc they increased their attributes in game and decreased others. And also if they plan on keeping vc prices the way they are or increasing them, then people would have to buy more things instead of getting free stuff so that system won’t necessarily work today.
The way I think they should do it is mix them together. There should be a base rep system like the old one that people have to reach legend which has the best rewards in them and it never goes away like in the old 2ks so casuals can still hit legend no matter what While also still having a separate system for the seasons so people can still receive basic awards for playing the game while giving out rep xp like every 10 levels and like 5k vc every 10 levels as well. This would basically balance everything. Still award the players that play more while also still giving casuals a chance to become legend and getting the best rewards.
3: I totally agree affiliations should come back I’ve been saying this for years.
They should still give out new parks to other affiliations But the award for winning should be that a bunch of fans sending out their own drawings and people vote which one they like the best and that should be everyone’s reward while also giving out 10k to everyone. Extra 10k for 3rd place, 20k for second and 40k for 1st. People forget virtual currency costs nothing to 2k. They should give back to everyone for actually playing the game and get people to keep playing the game. Especially taxing like they do.
