  • Rebuilding a 2009 Land Rover Range Rover HSE L322 from Insurance Auto Auctions.
Part 5: Replacing the seat belt buckle that deployed when the airbags went off in the crash. The Airbag warning light is still illuminated after replacing the steering wheel and knee air bags. I found a code in the Restraint Control Module that showed the driver seat belt pre-tensioner had deployed so I ordered one on eBay and this is how you replace it.
This video is part of the rebuild series on this 2009 L322 Range Rover. I have other projects coming up also. If you have any questions or I didn't show something in the video correctly, shoot me a comment and I'll get back to you.

I know you want to show how to replace bushings and control arms on an XJ. I can feel it haha. I have all the parts already 🤷‍♂️😂

hey Rob, Great video! Sooooo did you find out why the light was still on? Wondering as I have the same problem and the seat belts haven't deployed but have the light 😬😬

Thanks JD! Yes, the SRS module was locked out. Once you’ve had 3 “events” it bricks the unit and it needs to be replaced. I guess the steering wheel and knee bags were 1 and 2, the seat belt must have been #3.
I replaced the module under the center console.
Now the light will come on for any failure. You need to have the codes scanned and see what they are for. It could be a sensor or something simple if it’s not been in a wreck.

So close to gouging that rear door with the seat track. I was cringing.

So true Patrick G'ski !! I got a few inches out of the Rover and immediately regretted that decision! 😂
FYI, close the rear door first! 🙃

Yup. Driver wheel, knee bag and driver seatbelt pre-tensioner. All got replaced and I ended up getting a used SRS module because three events will brick a module and it cannot be used again.
