I would love to see someone make a Heathrow version of this. The entire airport site is so huge it would be a brilliant map. The buses run for about a 5 mile stretch all down past the hotels and across all 5 terminals.
I've been to Heathrow and I think the Heathrow Connect airside terminal buses that run inside the actual airport on the aprron beside all the airplanes would be cool.
The people behind OMSI have got a lot of work to do before they can convince me that their game is worth £27, and that's just the price for the standard game.
+Matt James (Aviation) This map is a mod, so it's not from the developers. But I kinda agree, it could be just a little cheaper, but even though it has some bugs, it's still the most accurate bus sims ever made and one of the most acurate sims in general.
I would just like to bring up that the bus that overtook you at 13:14 is actually a model nicked from another game, as were a number of other vehicles I saw.
I love the idea of this map. What better way to combine two of my interests of aviation and airports with buses and such! My only complain is that the road system is a bit too ridiculous and complicated. Also the road are way to narrow. However I love the premiss. It would be cool to make maps based on real airports. For example I'd love to do a Roissy Bus (Paris CDG Airport Shuttle from city center to Terminals) type route. I also think doing something like the Heathrow Connect airside terminal bus services would be cool as a seperate map.
btw that disgusting textured building was an airport car park. Ikr it looks like a mess but it took me like 30 minutes to work it out until u left terminal 1 XD but ye its a car park. :D
Hey Squirrel, how about trying something challenging but more bug free - Tettau with the Mercedes-Benz O407 or the MAN ÜL (both are available with manual gear box :P). ;-D
+christopher gemmel The game has a tutorial for all of this... Anyway, for the engine you first start the electrics with e, and then press m to start it up; on the default buses to open the doors you have to stop, press the stop brake num - and then the door's buttons num / and num *, to close them and start moving again do the opposite. Hope i was clear enough. :)
christopher gemmel Haha I guess you're pretty new to OMSI.. Always press "E" for Electricity followed by "M" for Engine (first make sure your gear is set at neutral, if it's not, press "N" and make sure that your brakes are on - for keyboard, press Num 2 all the way, for mouse, drag your mouse all the way down). And then you press "D" for the Drive gear. Don't forget to press "." to release your handbrakes! As for the doors, I hope you're not using a laptop as OMSI assigns the door buttons on the Numpad and it'll be quite annoying having to switch from Numpad mode to normal mode. Anyways, these three buttons are always used: "Num /", "Num *" and "Num -". If you can't open the door by pressing "Num /" and/or "Num *", it means that the bus has bus stop brakes enabled. Press "Num -" to deactivate the bus stop brakes. Hope I've helped :D
squirrel, i think the description is wrong. also, do you / anyone else think this setup is enough to run omsi 2 at 30fps i7-4790 GTX 745 (1920x1080) 16gb RAM ? Thanks
Depends alot on the AI setting, weather, size of the map etc. But your graphics card might be struggling abit with a soild 30 fps but im not 100% sure :p
+GustavLjungberg well say if the settings for AI, weather are lowest and I play on the default Spandau map, what fps will I get? I don't intend to buy omsi if it runs at 10fps XD
Your system seems more than adequate to run OMSI2 nicely. OMSI2 depends heavily on the CPU and you've got the right one. Can I have it? ;-) I'm running OMSI2 on a Core i7 3770 and a GeForce GTX 285 and it's running fine.
I would say this game is still in Beta. CLEARLY the game is not good enough for the price. Unless you are just going to play it for real-life bus driver training.
I'm not too familiar with OMSI's textures, but I have to wonder if the difference in texture quality is custom (bad) vs base game (good) work here, or perhaps just reuse of base game textures that cause them to stretch and not look too good. It's too bad, really, because I think the idea itself is great. It would be nice to see it expanded on with better texture work, better paths, and maybe some additional locations like rental car places.
OMSI2 requires a very fast CPU, the graphics card isn't that important. That's because of the way the game was designed. You can even run OMSI on an Intel HD integrated graphics chip if you want, as long as you have a powerful CPU. Of course a real graphics card is better, but the CPU is the component that really counts. OMSI2 can use up to two CPU cores and these two simply can't go fast enough. I recommend nothing less than 2.5 GHz core clock speed. Less than that can be a pain in the ass. I've got a notebook I sometimes use for testing mods, and it's Core i7 with 2.3 GHz default clock speed is barely fast enough. For the real fun, I use a desktop system with a Core i7 and 3.4 GHz default clock speed, that's much better. Both systems feature Nvidia graphics, the notebook's got a GeForce 650M chip, the desktop's got a GeForce GTX285 card. The desktop's OMSI performance is higher. So it's a CPU thing.
@squirrel "Driving the MAN NL202 bus on the Ebstein Map, a map which I've never driven on before. In Part 1 I take Route 104 from Weinheim local train station to Ebstein ZOB (bus station). In Part 2 I make the return journey" can you see what's wrong?
The intro sounds really bad ass and when he comes to talk it’s so friendly keep it up 👍
I would love to see someone make a Heathrow version of this. The entire airport site is so huge it would be a brilliant map. The buses run for about a 5 mile stretch all down past the hotels and across all 5 terminals.

1 think it would be good to extend the newcastle map with the airport routes
*Looks at some textures*
-WHAT ARE THOOOOOOOOSE!?
+GustavLjungberg Lol :P
Wait what are they?
The textures are awful 'cause it's probably the worst map Squirrel has choosen for this vid.
+GustavLjungberg OMS Airport (that SD202 lol)
awsome bbw

DarthDave573 £27 is a lot more than it should cost, should be £15 or less in my opinion
+Matt James (Aviation) I'd say £18 is perfect. But yeah, £27 is way too much, especially for how bugged this game is and rubbish optimisation.
Ilya Lomkov I agree, thats what puts me off - the bugs and FPS drops
+Matt James (Aviation) If you can get ETS2 for less, then this game is definitely not worth the price.
Its great to see more youtube uploads! Keep the good work.
I WACHED 7 MINS OF JUST WATCHING HIM PREPARE A BUS
ITS BETTER THAN AN AIRPLANE VIDEO HE POSTED WERE I WATCHED HIM FOR 23MINS FOR PREPARING A PLQNE
+Sam Plays people actually like that.
YO I WASNT Oppssssss it was caps
Exactly!U skipped 4 mins and it was meant to be 6! I think that's gonna come out of ur paycheck
Football Crazy lakeside

I would just like to bring up that the bus that overtook you at 13:14 is actually a model nicked from another game, as were a number of other vehicles I saw.
You are my favorite TH-cam channel
I drove that map and it's a piece of cake

I love these videos, keep up the INCREDIBLE work Paul XD
Very nice scenary. Very realistic airport. GG.
You're my favorite TH-camer in the world

I like how 3 years on the video still has the wrong description (copy and paste from previous ebstein video)
I love your channels
You said that you never tried the map before but after a while you start talking about you journeys and mistakes you've done whilst playing the map.
Loving the traffic vehicles pulled out of L4D :P
Squirrel you make the best bus rides ever your awesome👍
So I think the squirrelly Yoda guy is Jim Gaffigan!
Watching this gave me an idea. Somebody with some talent in making maps needs to make the disney world shuttle service. I think it would be awesome.
*light shines on me from above* I got the map and I didn't get lost!
I love this game really a fantastic game
Great job Squirrel. Keep on making more
I like your videos I watch it almost everyday
*BARFS AT TEXTURES*
This is a seriously hardcore bus sim.
Loving the game plays squirrel keep it up awesome video anyway
Watching now looks good
I have watched 100 episodes of his episodes
It's still weird for me that this game is called OMSI. Where I live OMSI stands for Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.
agree with you on heathrow you make me laugh lots on many of your videos dont think you can drive a bus in real life lol
Great idea for a map, execution could use a bit of polish
Great vid

Squirrel there's an new dlc for Omsi where you can drive trams!!!
Been playing this map as well! I had so much more traffic tho. Definitely added to the realism
How do you get that map
Love these kind of videos. Keep em up Squirrel
the description is from ebstein
this map gave me a disease just by looking at it
+Squirrel, you have put the description in for the ebstein map not the omsi airport map!
22:40 - "no entry" sign doesn't apply to any route bus. Nothing wrong with that one.
BarrettDotFifty Since that is the case, it should explicitly show that it doesn’t apply to buses
In England it’s the no entry sign then ‘Except Busses’ or ‘Except local busses
could you do a video of all your videos and show all the best bits
I Like it
Love. Bus games
btw that disgusting textured building was an airport car park. Ikr it looks like a mess but it took me like 30 minutes to work it out until u left terminal 1 XD but ye its a car park. :D

christopher gemmel Then you'd better check your key assignments in Options
And Gatwick airport
Don't forget that !!!!!
try an episode going under the tunnel to the field
the bus sounds like it has a superpowered gas turbine its really weird :)
Do an OMSI episode on Gladbeck of Bremen Nord in an MAN SD202.
How many ATC Towers does it take to handle one airport? Apparently three.
i like these vids your awsome
I have Omsi 2 and this map, guess what, I crashed on the rollercoaster and it was gridlocked
GREAT VIDEO
squirrel, i think the description is wrong.

Do one around the airport or the double decker one!
You need to change the video description. Its still set from an old video!
Do The Autobahn Police Sim please!

Your welcome
General Alfred Jodel why are you saying that it's not your video
That's the Russian approach to going to the petrol station...
Can you do a another omsi airport video?
Why is this just coming to my recommend now
The bus sounds so old
Do parkhaus shuttle
I would say this game is still in Beta. CLEARLY the game is not good enough for the price. Unless you are just going to play it for real-life bus driver training.
WHAT ARE THOSEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Hi. What bus model is that? I've checked the spreadsheet but it doesn't say anything about a MAN bus. Please do advice. Thanks.
It is the one of the base game MAN NL, the the NL202 EN92 (the one that he was using is the solo, the NG272 GN92 is the bendy bus).
I guess you can try great grundorf
on which route do we see the planes?

Paul! On the link to download this map there is a texture fix! Great video downloading now
Hey squirrel
Have you tried the texture fix for the map? That might solve the weird low-res textures.
Day ride around a airport for people waiting for families to arrive
+squirrel you have messed up the description. its not ebstein!:D
Omg, there's a lot of those buses in my city
Almost all buses
The creators of this game should team up with Rockstar Games to use the GTA 5 engine and make it really stunning :)
+Squirrel
Do you know why the description says "Ebstein" instead of OMSI Airport? Just a little thing I noticed :)
Hey do you think OMSI 2 would run with 6GB of ram at the graphics card being a Nvidia GTX570M?
It probably could but on low settings and not FPS over 30. But idk to be exact

Is this map and run a mod or it's a DLC?
what do you use keyboard or steering wheel
Squirrel, could you please look at Bus Driver? It's a SCS bus simulator and you can get it off Steam! Thanks!
