If you have the Gotta Save Soul DLC, you can build at least 2 crematoriums in your mortuary area and they only need wood or coal to run. It is so much more convenient than burning bodies on a pyre!
but it give fewer ash at the cost of being more fuel efficient... which is pointless once you get 2 zombies working on the big tree wood becomes endless and takes no time at all
It's an odd game. It's got the grind that I love. It's not always obvious how to progress, just vague ideas. I like hitting my head on a wall instead of being spoon fed answers. It does a weird tight rope of being kinda silly, kinda serious, and it just has a zen feel to it.
I love this game. I completed (the story) when only the first DLC was out and loved it. Started a second one when the next DLC came, and completed everything right up to the "final" story quest - this has become my main play-file and I love it. Still. Am currently almost all the way through the "Better save Soul" story and I love that all the characters get their time to shine and everyone's story gets interconnected through all the DLC's - lovely game and well worth the investment
Hey Sharky! Dont worry about any red skull for a zombie, it doesnt affect its proficiency, only white skull do that! A zombie with: - 12 red skull & 12 white skull = 30% efficiency - 0 red skull & 12 white skull = 30% efficiency Red skull has no penalties to zombies only to graves!
I always ended up waiting til I had a decent ish zombie like a 3 red and 3 white skull so I could get him to 5 white to use them and I always thought man I wish I could remove that red skull cuz It always bothered me to use those corps for resurrection. ^^
- You want to take out 2-3 white organs and store as much of them as you can, you can transplant these in order to increase the white skull rating of a corpse to get higher efficiency zombies or higher cemetery rating. Embalm everything first, then you can start switching organs and removing the blood and fat. -Eating food that gives slow metabolism buff increases the buff duration of a speed potion to 13 minutes each. You want to stack as much speed potions as you can, eat one buffing food, and drink all your potions. Potion duration will stack and you can have speed buffs lasting for irl days and not have to keep potions in your inventory. -Use the red wine as food, gold wine restores all your energy and you never really need to cook or sleep again if you have a high efficiency zombie working in the vineyard and winery while still having too much excess wine.
oh man ive been rushing through this game and apparantly missing out on alot of content, good thing im replaying this now so im just gonna take my sweet time with it now and get all the stuff i dont have jet. thanks for showing me this, i would have never known otherwise, im a happy gamer now, new stuff to play with.
Super love graveyard keeper 💕 Regarding giving blood to Alaric, it's just a recurring thing you can do, so you don't particularly have to keep doing it.
hey you don't need to burn them outside if you have the save a soul dlc... you can make wall crematoriums (2 of them)... supply them with coal or firewood and burn them that way... much more efficient than using billets to make pyres outside... and costs 20 heat for each corpse... plus i think you get one extra salt and ash if you do it like that !!!
I just finished my own playthrough of Graveyard Keeper on console in ~250 days. I really enjoyed it and managed to get all of the achievements but found the last few days or so to be so annoying as my save degraded and I could no longer save without the game crashing. I think I replayed the same 30-45min about 4 times in a row before I managed to get to the ending cutscene. I highly recommend this game but I think you have to be somewhat lucky to make it to 500 days without the game fighting against you
I bought and binged this game during the winter steam sale. Put 60 hours in 5 days and beat the basegame and all DLC. Just need to clean up achievements now!
I recommend you to use a guide how to make the best bodies with most white skulls. It really helps with the efficiency and with the rating of your graveyard :)

I'm a bit of a Graveyard Keeper fanatic. My first play through I didn't complete, but I've completed the game three times since then. The most recent complete I did just this winter and it was my first one with all the DLCs. Just a couple minor tips that others might have already mentioned, zombies aren't hurt at all by having red skulls. In fact, if they have red skulls, just take them and inject them with silver and/or gold injections just like you would with a normal body and it'll turn the reds into whites making them even better. Secondly, the porters oddly don't speed up if you have better zombies. A zero skull will move as fast as an 18 white skull zombie. So don't worry about the levels on the porters. Lastly, the guy at the refugee camp that you are trying to complete his quest by giving him blood, that is an endless quest. You give him blood in exchange for goods such as teleportation scrolls. I don't think he actually has anything that good to offer so I stopped supplying him with blood as soon as I realized you can't complete that quest. Hope to see more vides because I love watching Graveyard Keeper content!

Originally purchased it several years ago on the IOS. It was buggy as hell but I pushed through it. It was on sale on Steam not too long ago so I purchased it along with all the DLC. Still a great game.
Sooo many things I wanna write here, but I'll try to keep it brief. The Souls mechanics aren't as complex as you think, the first thing you wanna do with a fresh corpse is spin out the soul (it decays rapidly no matter what) and cleanse it of sin....to do that properly you want maximum modified body parts (all but skull can be modified in souls lab) and the max is 3 red, and 3 white skulls for each part (blood, fat, etc.) with this capability, the new max corpse skulls is 26 white (21 from sin shard modding, 5 from injections) and a 26 white skull zombie is 65% efficient....porter zombies don't work any faster no matter their skulls btw, and you can modify zombies just like corpses if you want to improve them. Good Luck and have fun!

You can put zombies on the preparation table and swap out organs or take organs out and improve them with soul shards, you can embalm them too to help improve them more. It also looks like you have the ice axe from the donkey quest. It never degrades, so having extra pick axes is a waste of space. Also the brain heart and intestines can add up to 3 red and or white skulls, it's random what skulls they give. You need the cultist tech from the tech tree to see what they add or remove, its random. You NEED to be looking into them especially if you want to start making perfect corpses for the graveyard or zombies.
You mentioned making a new zombie to replace the low tier porter. You don't need to make new zombies, you can treat zombies like any other corpse to improve their skulls... Embalming, swapping body parts etc. Just because they were revived at 5 white skulls, doesn't mean they are fixed at that. The only unfixable red skulls come from surgical mistakes made early in the game when your tech level is low.
This is a cool game. A bit hectic so I haven't played for a while, but it's awesome. I'm not quite as far as you, so some of the stuff you showed I'm like, whaaaat?? Haha. Now I might get back into it again.
I recently saw a video tutorial for zombies. The creator advised using the zombies with the lowest quality/efficiency for the porter jobs as q/e doesn't affect walking speed.
I'm pretty sure porter zombies quality means nothing since they all move at the same speed. If you have the Stranger Sins DLC and you have the Talking Skull Pub, the greeter zombie can never be pulled back again from it's spot and none of it's stats matter. Anyone making zombies for those jobs, take all the good parts you want on any of them, especially the greeter.
Some tips! **SPOILERS** of course -Having a zombie farmer on carrots will let you get enough to keep the donkey happy while also letting you make grated carrots, you could also just set the refugee's farms on carrots and they should grate it up themselves. Getting the farms upgraded to the max quality will make the refugees have LOADS of food, sleeping will never be necessary outside of saving! - For zombie porters, their efficiency doesn't affect their movement speed or carry capacity, so throw your worst zombies on them. - Red skulls don't negatively affect zombies, so just get as many white skulls as you can, and don't worry about if there's still a couple reds on it. - You can still embalm/autopsy zombie bodies just like dead bodies, so you can upgrade them later on if you need! If not, just bury them or throw them in the river to get rid of them. - The speed potion buff doesn't need to be gone to use more speed potions. You can chug like 400 of them and have your speed boost forever! (make sure to buy more from the Clotho if you have the money to spare!) - You can have zombies up at the quarry area pre-cut the iron and stone, and have the porter bring down the cut iron and stone while he's transporting marble blocks. (better to cut marble at home since you need wood bits for that) - Once you get your tavern up and running with loads of gold wine (beer doesn't sell for anywhere near as much), You can make over a gold a day, so there's something to be said towards just sitting on the stone garden for a couple weeks to stockpile money. -When you're completing the Game of Crones DLC (refugee camp), make sure to save! There's multiple endings and they give different perks, so don't "softlock" yourself into a bad ending or perk! If anyone else has some good info, post it as well!
I really like this game, but I wish the inventory system wasn't so clunky. I'm not terribly organized so it would be nice if all the storage was connected in a zone or something.
Also! Zombie efficiency doesnt affect a PORTER ZOMBIE! You can place a 40% efficiency zombie and it will deliver your resources with the same speed as a 12% efficiency zombie would! So might as well use your trash zombies as porters!
I love grave yard keeper but I honestly have never finished the story which suprises me. I definitely need to go back to this game and try and actually complete it for once. I think I have 3 out of the 4 dlc so maybe I'll buy the last DLC and hope back into it.
You guys should check Floydson too. He doing 0-100 and just release 100-200 days. the vid pretty long for almost an hour. But you definitely can't believe how fast the video end then demand for more video.
I don't think GK is "grindy" in the same way as MMO's can be, for example. It's more that this game is a routine simulator, and probably appeals to people who have too much uncertainty in their lives.
I found the Graveyard Keeper general gameplay loop very satisfying but I think overall, I don't recommend the game. The game doesn't show you how to use most of its systems/mechanics, doesn't have a recipe book to look at, and just generally has way too complex/opaque a crafting system. It also annoyed the heck out of me to have to wait a whole week if I missed talking to a character.
I bought the switch version yesterday although i have pc version! This game is very grindy so perfect for the bed ! How many hours you play in real life for that 500 days?
your should remove everything from a corpse before burning it. I know you can improve the body part with dlc but it will still allow to have a stock of good bodypart.
i hate to break it to ya, but work efficiency does nothing for porter zombies, they all shamble the same speed weather they have 10 white skulls or 10 red skulls

You can upgrade previously made zombies, replacing low grade body parts with higher grade body parts.
The skull count doesn't matter for porters, so you don't have to worry about getting a perfect one

the porter zombies move at the same speed no matter if tey are all red skulls or white ones, so its pointless to try and upgrade them :)
With better saved souls you can get your white skulls up to 26 per body getting a zombie of 65%
Does anyone know when the last DLC will be coming to switch?
I bought the switch version yesterday although i have pc version! This game is very grindy so perfect for the bed ! How many hours you play in real life for that 500 days?

your should remove everything from a corpse before burning it. I know you can improve the body part with dlc but it will still allow to have a stock of good bodypart.

i hate to break it to ya, but work efficiency does nothing for porter zombies, they all shamble the same speed weather they have 10 white skulls or 10 red skulls

I don't think the red skulls matter on a zombie only the white skulls.
