The nuking of Shady Sands was clearly after the events of New Vegas. It’s not a retcon. It’s continuing the story in a unique and interesting way

In the video Todd says 'sometime after New Vegas' so even he doesn't know the date (or he might not know when New Vegas takes place). As for the Fall of 77 could mean anything. Hopeville did get blown up. The was the First Battle of Hoover Dam which the NCR won, but led to more fighting with the Legion. Or maybe it's an event that they want to explain in season 2. If it does turn out to be a mistake date then they left themselves enough wiggle room to get out of it.

I've been saying this since the release of the show; there is a HUGE difference between the FALL of something and the DESTRUCTION of something. People need to learn basic grammar.
As a non-native speaker, to me the arrow in between events made it clear. There was the fall and afterwards it got nuked. People arguing it's the same thing; then why have it take up two spots on the time line with an arrow in between? You don't even need to know grammar to have common sense.
