The paddle brush technique was a lifesaver! I literally just hopped out of bed, unwrapped my freshly straightened hair and did that technique and omg what a difference! THANK YOU!

I had to stop flatiron my hair because it had my house smelling like burn hair. What am i doing wrong? I use shampoo deep condition leave in conditiiner and serum heat protection.
There could be a few things that's causing the strong smell. Is your flat iron pretty old? Is it a cheaper iron? Are you getting your hair cleaned well enough during the wash process? Is your flat iron temp too high? Here's a few questions you can ask yourself which may be the reason why the flat iron smell is so strong.

Hey! Aw thanks so much! And that burnt smell is so embarrassing for me especially when I took the time to make sure to put on body wash, lotion, and perfume on the rest of me to smell nice, but that burnt hair smell ends up ruining my efforts!
Is burnt smell normal? I did like 1 pass with chase method ni more than 3 on the odd one or 2 didnt see smoke and use same heat protectant as you treseme but smell heat or burn pls tell me thanks i did setting in the middle of 230
Usually if you have that burnt smell the heat setting is too high; or your hair may not have gotten cleaned properly during the wash process. Next time you can try washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo and make sure to take your time during the blow dry process to get a really good blow out; that way you can use a lower heat setting with the flat iron; or possibly the same heat setting without getting at burnt smell. Let me know if you try this and how it works out!
I've heard that conditioners that have the word "deep" in them work better; but you can also give a regular conditioner a try to see if you notice anything!
I went to a stylist last week to get a silk press and once I washed my hair it smelled burnt and I washed it 3 times plus deep conditioned and my hair still smelled burnt 🥺 idk what to do
They just happened to me I went to this lady I had been to before and I know for sure the tool she used was wayyyy to hot as she burnt herself from my Hair twice, my hair is very fine and like 3a 3b I asked her if we can wash and re do cause it smells terrible she said it had nothing to do with what she did
@@autumnp9022 sorry this happened to you as well, I should of stuck to doing my own hair cause I never got heat damage or any type of damage but I trusted a family member and this is my results but I’m go to Sephora to get some olaplex.
Awww 😔 sorry to hear that. I just went to a stylist yesterday and asked him the comment you left. He said the stylist de used to much heat on your hair and it sounds like she damaged it 😩 he said just give yourself a few more days and the smell will subside. The olaplex should def help with repairing the hair
