Wow! I only discovered Eivor last year when the lockdowns first began. I now have seven of her albums, and cannot stop listening to her beautiful voice. An absolutely stunning singer, and a very beautiful woman.
Best underrated female vocalist that if born in America and based her career in America would be up there with the world class legends. The most unique , mystic, recognizable , hypnotic, angelic voice in the world.
BUKCOLLECTOR I agree with your assessment of her talent, but the music industry in America is pure evil and I’m very glad she was shielded from it. In America they would have demanded she get a nose job and straighten her slightly crooked front tooth, lose twenty pounds, get breast implants to compensate for starving herself, and then make her wear lifts in her shoes. If all that didn’t mutilate her soul as well as body she might be allowed to sing... other people’s music. There are two songwriters in New York who write all the hits now. Mind you I know plenty of indie artists who avoid all that but they are even less well known than Eivør. Being born Faroese was a blessing And just for clarification I think she’s a beautiful woman just not beautiful the way our corporate overlords demand.
She may not be a world renowned singer but she surely is world class when it comes to talent, ability and style. I think as long as she keeps doing what she does she and her fans will be happy
And now she's again in the soundtrack of God of War franchise! I hope she gets more and more attention from industry and shine in the cinema/games/series area.
