I was at those shows Zacky was talking about. Bullet for my Valentine was the 1st opening act and they unfortunately had to start with all the roaring boos when someone announced on a microphone A7X was not playing that day, so they extended every band's setlist by 2 or 3 songs and that was cool. But I love A7X so much regardless, and they definitely paid us back and more with the free San Jose HP Pavillion show. I am foREVer a fan : )
Avenged Sevenfold are and always will be my favourite band, and Zacky is such a beautiful beautiful man, internally as well as *of course* externally. As a fan I completely respect their decision to go on a break - and I know as soon as they're back, they will be better than ever. foREVer
18:44 it's amazing that A7x freely wrote so many songs in so many different styles as they wanted but still have that very specific a7x color in each song. Even until now in their The Stage record and they embraced their song covers (that included in the deluxe ver of The Stage) in their color too. They're amazing musicians with incredible artistry.
Just a general question: does zacky have a tick? I've noticed that he has a habit of moving his mouth and nodding, even when he's not talking or being talked to. Not trying to be rude, just wondering. Again, general question, not applying to this video in particular.

@ChelseaTemptation i was at that show too. almost didn't make it, we had some issues at the boarder crossing. we finally made it through, and would go through all the hassle all over again to experience the most emotional show we've ever been to. we were even crying during the band before avenged, thinking how tough it was going to be. the venue camera man was filming us while we cried and sang along to so far away. we're HUGE avenged fans, and wouldn't have missed that show for anything.
I was at Uproar where they cancelled and the HP when they played! Sick Interview, never heard it now that it's a year later, but still cool to hear. 107.7 is the best station in the area!
next time you meet them PLEASE ask them if they can make a cover of cowboys from hell by pantera. matt would totally kill the vocals of how awesome it'd be.
From about 8:55 onwards I felt really sad. It was always a huge loss obviously but imagining it from their perspective. Standing there, still grieving their friend, with a drummer they hadn't rehearsed with, an expecting crowd, and it feeling like their first show ever because it's a different A7x without Jimmy. This was the first show of the new A7x that he's describing. The Rev's death was sad, and that's in the past now I think, but him describing the whole awful scene... :(
dude i truely love this band and i can say that i am with them through everything i think thats when someone is a true fan not like these other people who say they suck now without rev snd they wish johnny died insted i think they are the same band they always were yeah i miss the rev but they go otu and give it thier all thats why im A7X for life because to me they are better that any other band and i belive arin will help them as much as he can i love A7X

now I finally know what happened between them and Mike Portnoy....that stuff was confusing for some time in the press....and it really was not a clever move from Mike,Avenged did the right thing by parting ways with the man....too bad it ended like this though....he just fit the band in all possible ways,from image to playing ability....would´ve been interisting to see them make an album with Mike as a songwriter!!
Wow, I’d actually never seen this interview before. Starting at 9:00 in, he opens up about the Mike Portnoy debacle. I never knew they begged him to reconsider leaving Dream Theater, and that he seemingly quit DT to pursue a career with Avenged who was “bigger and cooler.” That must have been kind of cringey to the Avenged guys, not to mention all the press that got poured out like he mentioned. I’m a huge Portnoy fan, but it really does sound a lot like he abandoned his 20+ year faithful wife for a young, hot new girlfriend and she was overwhelmed and backed out. He probably shouldn’t have made such rash decisions, but you can’t undo the past.
God,there's too much confusion.. I don't know,they have said a lot of different things during this cycle of tours,and I'm really confused :/ Will they have a break? When? Will they perform on summer? But mostly,will they stay together,as a band? I'm a bit worried,because I don't want them to feel tired like this. It's like they don't want to perform anymore,at the moment. their best albums always come out like that. not a scheduled process but a group project, its never right to have a specific time for an album anyways. writing material overtime really expresses all of the emotions of the music as they progress.

Jukkax26 Mike was only ever supposed to tour with them for a certain amount of time. They actually ended on really good terms.
