  • What happens when you use honey as engine oil? Will the engine seize? Will it catch on fire? We have been wondering this, so we decided to find out! We take our Lifan 200cc Amazon motorcycle and put it to the test to see if you can really run your motorcycle on honey.

    Higher octane fuel is less flammable, therefore not as easy to ignite. That's why it's used in high compression engines to prevent knock or pre ignition of fuel.

      Thanks for the info that’s why it’s hard to start now

    • @mopar_dude9227
      @mopar_dude9227 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, higher octane only prevents pre-ignition due to higher heat or pressures, it is just as flammable when it is introduced to a flame or ignition source. Too much octane will make the combustion “too slow” and cause the engine not to run or run poorly. Most likely what little gas that was left in the tank was burnt up and all there is left is the octane booster which contains benzine and ethanol which would require different ignition timing and a spark plug with a different “heat” range.

    • @rocknraptor3195
      @rocknraptor3195 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NOO!! More octane gives you more power! Everyone knows that! My Honda Civic is sooo much faster, powerful, & i get way better gas mileage with high octane fuel!! Sometimes i add the octane booster with premium, if i really wanna go faster!!
      😂🤣🤣😂😁 Just joking, im not one of those ignorant, gullible types that believe everything they hear (stupid stuff like that) & buy shell premium bc the commercials lie too you & say its cleaner & has this & that & does this & will "clean" while you drive & increase milage. 🤣 ALL GASOLINE CLEANS, ITS A SOLVENT!!!😂 Actually the more you drive the cleaner your engine will be, giving you do proper maintenance & don't have a crappy type direct injection. All gas has additives & cleaning agents, don't be a SUCKER!
      And one of you were wrong & the other only half right. Compression = heat. Gas will ignite under enough pressure, just like diesel fuel. Octane increases the pressure \ compression gas can handle before it will self ignite. More compression = more power! If your vehicle needs higher octane fuel you will know it, or it will plainly tell you!

    You’d be surprised how long an engine can run without oil. My friend used to have a 50cc 2 stroke bike, after a few weeks of riding he wanted to change the automatic transmission oil, and found out there wasn’t a drop in there! The teeth of the 2-speed gearbox looked fine too except for a couple of small little nicks. He did mix oil with the fuel though so the crankshaft did get lubed.

    Your burning octane boost reminded of this. One night about 22 years ago my father and I were way up on an old logging road hunting miles away from anywhere, his truck an old S-10 ran out of gas. Walking the 15 miles to town in the dark in the middle of November in Maine just wasn't all that appealing. But he had a case of HEET fuel line antifreeze in the back of the truck, we poured all 24 bottles in the gas tank. I was surprised the truck even ran, but we got to town burning nothing but gas line anitfreeze.

      Israel Orr no engine oil, which means you’d literally have to leak all the oil out of your bike without noticing.

  • @savagetuner2404
    @savagetuner2404 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Avocado oil has a high smoking point so it doesn't surprise me, it's a damn good cooking oil that doesn't flash easily, but it's still very healthy. Honey burns to a crisp (real, good honey, that is, not diluted) at about 250-300 degrees. I tried making candy with it, I ended up with a ruined pot instead. My guess is that this is the end of the fabled Amazon Bike. (I haven't watched the video yet)

      Lifans in Generally are very ''bullet proof''.. a lot of people dont believe in them but i do!
      From 125CC with regular maintainance they keep running and running. Especially the 250's the 125's and below are a bit more sensitive but also do a great job!
