For anyone who has a Poco M3 that don't boot up even if you hold the volume and power buttons try this: 1. Remember what percentage your battery is when its last open if its about 80% it would take 3-4 days to drain the battery completely 2. put it somewhere warm like next to your router or pc case, the point is that if you think your Poco M3 has the battery fully drained and it won't open just let it heat up for a couple of hours. 3. When the phone is warm not too hot, try charging it and wait for about 3 minutes until you see a Phone Charging logo. DO NOT GO PAST 3 minutes because the phone will also charge without showing the logo of it charging and you'll have to wait a couple more hours for it to drain again. 4. Patience is the key. I've had my Poco M3 for about 1 year now and the problem started 6 months in, I've done this so many times now but i do hope it works for others because i don't see any other solution to this other than opening up your phone. Edit: I forgot to add 5. When its finally charging (with the charging logo on the screen) hold the power button to open it! repeat it multiple times every 10 seconds or else your phone won't boot up and you'll have to wait a couple more hours to deplete the battery!! Reminder this shit happens every 1 month. I've experienced it so many times now but the trick on Delaying the phone from Turning off is that you need to charge it up to 85% and not 100% and have it charge when it gets to 20%. I managed to have it on for at least 2 months without turning off. Hope this helps!!!
After 3 years of usage, my Poco M3 decided to pass out one day before my exams. I needed my phone so I could print a ticket and get myself into the university, so I knew there was no time to waste. Long story short, this video helped me revive my phone and now I am forever grateful for making me just a bit more familiar with phone hardware tinkering hehe. THUMBS UP U THE GOAT!!
Just try this and works, what a flimpsy cable for the battery. My father's phone goes black screen while battery still a lot. So the battery should be fine. As he also asked to check other phone to buy, theres nothing to lose to pry this phone. Phone start after reattach the charging cable and battery. But after screw the cover then same problem occur, reopen then reattach cable, while carefully, soft as possible to click the cover, screw, then the phone safely turn on. The cable so easily disconnect, such a sorry state of phone. Xiaomi brand will not be in my future phone purchase now. I lose confidence in their brand, their phone not last long Update: the phone is dead for good
I wish mine was just a simple as this, hardware issues are far easier to solve, I've tried this method, but rather sadly, it still does not want to turn on. My Poco only turns on once the battery is fully depleted. It turned off a couple of months ago, and hasn't come back since. I really should've just bought a more local android. But, thank you for the video anyways!
@@rickstechrepairs Aye, I hope so too. I've been researching quite a bit, but I've only found a few of Indian tech guys who are seemingly just adding a lot of flux to the Motherboard? I don't know, they say very few English words. And a thing telling me how to flash my firmware (but the phone needs to be *on* to do that, so I'm out of luck there)
@@simakosk Honestly, I haven't thrown mine away, but with no technical support locally. (East Coast USA) I just gave up after several failed attempts at fixing it, and it's sitting in a box of electronics in my room. This phone was great, but it has problems riddled everywhere within it. I bought a Pixel 6 a few months ago, and already its paces better than the POCO. (well worth the price as well) I suggest trading the POCO in for parts, or somewhere so you can get some kind of return on it. I'm sorry I don't have any other solution.

Okay, I rebooted my phone M3 for some reason and it wasn't turning on I was shocked then it's now my method: I pressed power off button for 3 minutes straight then release it I did it multiple times after 30 minutes of doing it my phone turned on lol I was shocked and happy 😁
Hi Boitumelo Any luck or advice? Mine is doing this for the 2nd time now. 1st time it seemed to just randomly start charging after I left it in the charger for 2 hours even though it was not saying it was charging at 1st.
back 2021 my friend bought this and after a month it suffers from the dead after reboot. ive watch some arabic yt tutorials and the 100% fix is just remove the small shield near the sim tray. ive tried it and up to today his poco m3 still alive and working fine. the arabian guy explained that removing the shield prevent the capacitors from shorting to the shield when thermal expansion occurs because of current and heat, so when shorted caps and remove the PMIC prevents the loading of OS because maybe its detecting a short somewhere, today there are many fixes for poco m3 when dead boot my just removing the shield or reheating or replacing the PMIC which my friend poco m3 never encountered, anyways this poco brand of xiaomi is dead ass problematic by just maximizing on budget and profits
When dead, can't turn on and can't charging. Totally dead. Need to unplug battery connector for 1-3 hour, reconnect and cant turn on chaging normally. Replace battery also same shit. Still Don't know what problem is!

1st time it seemed to just randomly start charging after I left it in the charger for 2 hours even though it was not saying it was charging at 1st.
you need to heat the small back plate. to turn on. but the solution is to solder it again. on the board that is making a short. throughout the system.
im not too sure which part you mean exactly but i will investigate further
