Hollywood Golden Age is the best looking edition, with classic films, directors, and actors. Great game!

Just realized that nightmare production is the latest version of this game. Just recently made a print and play version of this game lol. Like how Tom describes it, I think what's appealing is that story of making your own movies combination. Although I do love horror, this edition has to be the weakest for me. While I was making my version, I wasted time thinking about what actors or directors I want. So I ended up making the titles and names blank and let players name their production. I basically made a legacy version of this game that I can keep printing. I haven't tried it yet but I think that would be fun.
Hi can I ask how you made the print and play game? And if your willing to can you share the files? I want to make my own copy because I don't feel like buying the game.

The truth is that I don't usually like auction games and it's not something attractive to me in games (at least if it's the main or only Mechanisms ). But this game is really good. it's dynamic, you have several strategies, make a fast movie, try to make a movie with many points, the worst movie, invest in actors / monsters to be able to choose first at parties, I like how the money is distributed, it's so simple and so great . For me Hollywood the golden age is the best in terms of production and theme. great art, elegant, and with that fun point of doing the classic movies with other actors and directors imagining Johnny Weissmuller starring in Citizen Kane or Alfred Hitchcock directing Tarzan is really funny in my head. Together with High society they are the only two auction games that I have in my library (I don't count hit Z road since the auction is only part of the game)
I'm glad this is coming back in print, and although I love horror and was initially excited about making exclusively horror movies, it looks super dull and generic. Maybe they'll put out a couple of expansions; a funny one, poking fun at horror movie tropes, and another one that would be 18+ for those of us with an affection for gore and extremely graphic violence in our horror. (Just in the movies I mean, not real life. Let's alllllll settle down now!😋).
We got a copy from Gencon and played it last week. It's a ton of fun, and horror movies is the best theme!
It's great that they made this remake with the horror movie theme.
I was almost already planning on buying this until I saw the standees, the board and the tiles.
Imagine they would have taken a bit of effort and actually filled it with good art and (slightly) bigger tiles.
Not sure why those standees are necessary, simply using tiles would have been better for the awards and would have saved production money in favor of better art and bigger tiles.
The version I own is called Hollywood Blockbuster. (I *think* this was just before they changed it to Dream Factory.) The movie names and actors and directors in mine are all spoof versions and puns of known Hollywood moves/actors/directors.

You know this game inside out, I remember seen your video about your own reskin on Golden Age because you did not know any of those legends... My question is , are there any differences on the rules/game play on this version compared to the 'classic' versions? thanks, Fer(SK)
Have you had the chance to play the Ludonova version (Hollywood Golden Age)? I am wondering if I should get that one or Nightmare Productions!
Tom doesn't like old B-Horror movies. I guess he isn't watching Svengoolie.
Tom needs a big board game box to go into and out of at the beginning and end of videos and a segment with Zee-surround making fun of what’s happening on screen.
I just wish that you can work on more than one movie at a time. Studios make a lot of movies at the same time.
What do you mean? You always have 3 movies to work on at the same time.
Like the horror theme but it seems kinda boring.
