Hi guys, I'm a young asphalter, I have a family business, and that paver you have is perfect for squares, for example we use a Marini, but it would be even better a Bitelli, but based on what I have tested so far, I am undecided when talking about huge vehicles, I don't know which between Bomag or Caterpillar is more efficient for mountain work, do you have any advise?
get yall a daggum lute rake itd be alot better than using a come along which is for concrete but i guess it dont matter unless the job gets done i gotta have me a lute rake though every asphalt finisher knows what im talking about im a finish aphalt roller operaror if that tells ya anything i do both finish asphalt and roll it in
yes cody your write .. alot of different crews with different styles like you said with lute rake for finish work custom or main line highway paving. Make sure you take all the bumps your breakdown roller is leaving for you lol...
Thanks for checking out the videos. Yes our big roller can make it up that pitch. We use the hand roller first and then make serval passes using our big rollers.

@@whittanymcallister2444we have a small girl on our crew she started on a blower when when are milling and moved her way up to running bottom electronics on big mill, i also taught her to lute asphalt and shes hanging in there doing good, its by no means easy though... these are not real asphalt lutes they are using they dont even look like concrete tools, not sure wth they are using lol

I like that custom made Lute, Tamper, Scraper, just must wear that kid out by the end of the day pulling all that weight around?

Where is the tack coat?
It's an emulsifier asphalt glue in simplest term. Paving since 1986 terrible work
You don’t tack base, only edges which would be the concrete and the garage which they are matching. But haven’t seen tack on those either

You're crazy ! 😄. Just kidding. I've done it for 30 years and am about done. This 30% rap mix takes all the fun out of it.

In Saskatchewan you need steel toe boots, hard hat, pants, visibility vest and mother also would like if you wear sunscreen too.

If your paving company follows osha regulations then you arent doing it right
