One of the things I loved to do as a kid was fly around the clock tower, so when I finally got passed Hollow Bastion my 10-year-old self got absolutely scared shitless when I went back there and the Phantom was there.
My strategy before spawn 1. Max out Soras items to Mega Elixir 2. (Party) Have DONALD DUCK & PETERPAN 3. Equip Donald with the most mega elixir, exlir, mega eithers (try go for megas/elixir) .. & have peter have eithers , hi potions 4. Customize settings make Donald & Peter use their mp continually 5. Follow everything in the video only thing is (let Donald do most the spell cast) and fly around the clock don’t stick around when the’ phantom is going to cast the dark spell (you save mp) only lock onto the phantom when you’re going in for the attack (using spells or melee the white orb) unlock from him cause if you don’t it will allow him to launch at you sudden. (Try to run around the clock stay away on the other side when he’s casting the dark spell) I did this in patience and I was “level 65” using the “oblivion key blade” (I had “energy bangle”, “exp ring” & “omega arts” for attachments to my keyblade) Ps. Whenever the phantoms orbs dissapears try in between rounds stop the clock (with your “stop/stopga” spell)
when I was kid my older brother used to play KH and I was casually watching him. I loved that!! He was giving me joystick only to play lil fights and to fly. One random day my brother gave me joystick and I rly wanted to visit Neverland so I went to the clock tower and I was so happy to see new cutscenes that resulted in absolute terror, the fact that my brother litterallllyyyy JUMPED, took my joystick and was trying to understand tf was going on. Eventually he died and just told me to avoid from now on Neverland . I almost pooped my pants that day (I'm literally playing KH NOW, and Im still rethinking should I play that boss fight or not)
There is another way to dodge the Phantom's purple orb spell without using Aeroga. The minute you see the Phantom conjuring up the spell, start flying away to another side of the clock tower. The purple orb will miss you if you stay out of the Phantom's sight when he releases it.
It's recommended if you have a relatively low-level Sora at this point. Aeroga costs 2 MP to cast, which is expensive in this battle, and managing your MP effectively is critical as you need it to use for casting spells on the Phantom's colored hearts, or stopping the clock. For those who attempt to fight the Phantom with a weaker Sora, dodging the purple orb is much preferred, as you can easily run out of MP resources, including Ethers and Elixers in this battle if you don't use them wisely.
Another tip for the phantoms purple word thing is to simply hit it before it gets you! (just read on and someone else already gave this advice, but whatever)
Actually you can stop his darkness attack by hitting it ( in the right time) just before the attack touch you , when it’s become really close to you, you hit it
3:23 You can use Aeroga! This will protect you. Or you go to another side, because the Phantom doesn't see you anymore or you don't have Aeroga or you don't want to use Aeroga, because of the MP et cetera.

I'm watching this video because I haven't gotten past his last HP bar before running out of MP but one thing I have found out on my own is that you CAN stop the homing missile by quickly dodging to another side of the clock tower. The missile will home in on you and fly into the tower and you can get back to the fight. No matter where you are, you should always have enough time to do this before the Phantom actually shoots it at you.
Some really helpful tips for first timets on this boss! If your wondering how to Dodge the move in which he summons a small purple ball, you can actually stop it from hitting you by getting out of his line of sight, all you have to do is fly to another side of the clock, when you can't see him, he can't see you Also when he does that, use that as your time to go back to a side of the clock you can stop and go ahead and stop it again Gather ether and elixer for yourself as well as your comrades, if your still worried about your health, you should give them high potions, 2 or 3 to both but dont forget to give them ether as well I'm pretty sure he already said this, but just incase you missed it, you should have Peter and Goofy instead of Peter and Donald, goofy's just stronger and more helpful
Tbh once I was at level 100, it didn’t seem that hard vs the last time I tried it on PS3. Once I remembered that higher MP makes Stopra last longer and to keep stopping the clock, he went down without too much issue. The hardest part for me was I felt like it would be easier to have Stopra and Curaga in my shortcut menu which made it a bit hard and slow to get to the correct spells especially since he moves so erratically and then scratches the fuck out of my boyish face 😒😒😒 but I had plenty of ethers which made it feel more confident and PP and Goofy were actually sending them out at the RIGHT time FINALLY!!! 😪😪😪 I was kinda scared to start the battle but it turned out to be easier than I thought.
If you are not lvl 100 and you don't have all the best weapons, then I suggest this. Equip either *Diamond Dust* or *Lady Luck*. You get *Diamond Dust* from defeating the Ice Titan in Olympus Coliseum, but *Lady Luck* is also really good for this fight. Select Goofy to be with you alongside Peter. Goofy has an ability called *MP Gift* which is basically an MP donation power. And you will need every drop of magic for this fight. Remove a bunch of Peter Pan's abilities that involve weak but rapid hits. They won't do any favors and he has aero spells that he could spend his MP on anyway. Stock yourself up on mass healing items like elixirs and megaelixirs. Give Goofy and Peter Pan a bunch of mega-ethers. They'll waste them, but at least you are less likely to have to use your good items.
THE CLOCK CAN BE STOPPED? How was a normal player supposed to find that out without help from others? This video was good and helpful (I wonder why the clock's arm aren't beatable to reverse doom)
(Me trying to get to lvl 100 while at lvl 50.) "Okay I need the exp earring." *can't get exp earring because I can't hit the Pink Agaricus enough times before it leaves* "okay i need stopga" *gets one shotted by phantom* "okay I dont need the earring"

Damage him 6 times then stop clock even if its still frozen. Mechanic boss battles are good boss battles because they make you think of ways to beat the boss

I’ve tried about 100 times (lvl 70 proud mode) to beat this kunt, keep running out of magic when he’s in the green health, but now that I know you can just FLY AWAY from his death fog by going around to the other side of the clock tower, I think I’m gonna try again.

Wow, I didn't even know about this Boss. I'm only level 48 and I'm on TH-cam looking for tips on how to defeat Kurt Zisa in Agrabah. This Phantom Boss is a cake walk compared to him, from what I can see. I think I'm just gonna leave them both alone for now and try to figure out how to get me & the boys back to Hollow Bastion so I can seal that damn key hole lol😂✌.

Out of pure curiosity: - Does Aeroga acutally damage the boss in any way besides when you're up close to the white orb? - Is there a reason to choose Goofy over Donald in your party for this fight? (I figured setting Donald to constantly use heal magic, but rarely attack would save some MP for Sora if you're lucky enough to have Donald heal and defend you. Since Goofy mostly does physical attacks, I'm wondering how he helps.)
Brian Csoglordington Aeroga is used defensively in this fight, you take reduced damage when it's up. Donald could potentially help, but you really want to be doing as much damage as you can in those very brief physical windows
when I talk to tinkerbell I don't get a cutscene, it just instantly teleports me to the save point with no boss do I have to get all the items from the clock first?
do you know how long does stopra last for the clock? you lmow you can escape the ghost magic by moving to the otherside ofthe clock the thing wont follow you there a reason wy you are not using donald?
TBH I've done a lot in game but I'm thinking to give up on this plat. I've never played KH before but so much of this game is just terrible design which the player has to think of a way around. thats not how good games are made. Its frustrating and annoying and just drives people to guides. Also the story is basic as fuck and told in an outrageously convoluted way that never resolves anything by its conclusion. Madly overrated game.

This boss is easily the creepiest in the game. It doesn’t even seem like a heartless (save for the symbol on its back).

The control is really hard for this boss fight.
That was easy once I figured out the pattern. Thx! I also just flew around the tower when he would shoot the purple fire and it couldn't hit me.
You can hide from that spell it casts by going to the other side of the tower before it finishes casting

It really won't matter too much. Donald will die quickly and Goofy just won't be able to do much.
Goofy's MP gift might be a great boon in this fight

I stocked my entire party with ethers to try and fight this boss and still ran out, because this is horribly designed.
TBH I've done a lot in game but I'm thinking to give up on this plat. I've never played KH before but so much of this game is just terrible design which the player has to think of a way around. thats not how good games are made. Its frustrating and annoying and just drives people to guides. Also the story is basic as fuck and told in an outrageously convoluted way that never resolves anything by its conclusion. Madly overrated game.

@@TheAcad3mic That's why you don't play the first game and then decide. This came out 20 years ago, and was hardly a classic. The charm of the game is lost on new players, because it's just not as charming anymore

@@astra3766 If you haven't beat him yet then I'd suggest looking at evil pikachu's comments/replies! You just need the right prep and strategy, not necessarily a higher level

@@Gamefit28 they are called "Defense Up" etc items and not that long - I actually have a leveling guide on my channel as well

I beat this boss on Proud mode on my3d try and I didn't have to heal a single time and only had to use 4 eithers. Not exactly "Hard" lol
