HABARI YA BAHARI? Multistakeholder workshop in December 2022

Habari ya Bahari? Workshop on Fishing Communities and Sustainability. This multistakeholder workshop brought together representatives from fishing communities, fisheries officers and civil society, to discuss environmentally and socially sustainable use of the ocean. It was organized on 2-3 December 2022 in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. The online distribution of this film was cleared by all participants in a follow up workshop on 29 July 2023. The Habari ya Bahari workshop is part of the Swahili Ocean Worlds research project, coordinated by researchers at the Department of Social Anthropology at Stockholm University and the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Dar es Salaam. It was the first in a series of multistakeholder workshops organized by the project (2022-2024).
