If you're slow and you're not skilled, then turning your back is definitely a bad idea in any situation. In a dangerous situation where weapons can be involved and more enemies, then yes, I agree, keep your eyes on your opponent. Keep your techniques basic. It's about survival, not about being fancy. Fighting competitions are different. There are rules. Every technique is a risk.

joe Rogan's kick is hard to execute, almost broke my ankle when i was new to it. If mastered its game changer. Till then, Bruce lee's kick any day anytime. Simple and tremendously powerful.
