Great explanation. I just beganrefrigeration basic training (school) this week and this video single-handedly made The function of a D Frost Timer💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
30 years in the trade. I do hvac 99 percent of the time but do get thrown into Refrigeration. Never knew how these clocks really worked. Yes this was great. Why don't they teach this in hvac school. We spent an entire semester going over psychrometrics of air flow. Never once used a psychrometrics chart. HVAC school is a complete waste of time. Spend a year watching hvac utube videos 8 hours a day and you will know more than 99 percent of any hvac tech out there. I just wish we hade utube and the internet when I started 30 years ago. Maybe I would still have my hair
Charles,...SUPER video! would love to see the 'in action' video but also would love to see the next step on how the 'Fan Delay' happens. Great job and exactly what I was looking for!
much easier to understand, thank you very much, hopefuly you can do a explanation on a whole freezer or cooler wiring , like contactor, relay, capacitor, compressor, compressor heater, condensor fan etc.
Hi, can you do a video explaining how condensing units are connected to case lineups (example, 36 feet of produce, or three 12 ft cases) ? Are the thermostats in all 3 cases connected in parallel with each other, and in series with the liquid line solenoid coil? Thanks.
I thing connecting and disconnecting the compressor with NO contact, thermostat is inserted to compresor, otherwise following your wiring plan we have a short circuit. "X" is the one contact of the "motor timer" next contact is the "N".
I just want to give you a internet hug /(-_-)\.... Seriously I've been in school 9 months and haven't had the slightest clue understanding this. Thanks to your videos I get it.
Very nice .all the guys are on u tube talking my meter,my high pressure switch, there is my what the hell ever and then they say this is normaly open ohhh my bad normaly open and so on. but this is knowing video no confusion . very nice thanks
+kidd sheppard Usually in freezer application it will utilize temp termination. Time termination is your back up, which is simply the duration time set on your middle dial.
please use the word Neutral instead L2, because L2 in UK is associated with 3phase power supply and can be confusing for some technichans has just starting HVAC works
This is probably the best video I’ve seen explaining how a defrost timer works Great job 👍🏻
Great explanation. I just beganrefrigeration basic training (school) this week and this video single-handedly made The function of a D Frost Timer💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is a truly amazing explanation and lesson. So easy to understand , i would imagine an elementary school 6th grader would understand.
hey Charles, that is the best explanation i have heard in 46 yrs in the trade, well done

Great video I learned a lot. The way you explain things makes it easier for someone like me to understand. Thank you
Thanks for making!
Again, not for beginners, but good practice once you have some of it under your belt.
If you can do it well, you can explain it well. Here it was explained on point. Thank you.Looking forward to more videos.
So X can control a solenoid too? Thanks for the video best video ever I feel like I finally understand the defrost a year later in the field
Charles,...SUPER video! would love to see the 'in action' video but also would love to see the next step on how the 'Fan Delay' happens. Great job and exactly what I was looking for!
Great video, your explanation is the best I've seen. Thank you!

+Ryan Dong will work on it. Thanks.
Nice information does this goes straight to the fan defrost and compressor or it goes to Contractor
Very good explanation. Wish I had this in HVAC school. By the way who gives this a thumbs down. Maybe hvac technical school teachers

I have a question: can this particular defrost timer be bypassed to test if or why we are not get power to kick on the compressor? Please advise
Great video dho...but what about the compressor y isn't it there??
orr even timer clock

Thanks a mil! Succinct and well explained.
great video . Trinidad here
Great video! Where does the solenoid valve get wired too?
It would be wired in series with the temp control, which goes through the normally close terminal on the timer.
Damn good video!! Thank you!!!
Very nice .all the guys are on u tube talking my meter,my high pressure switch, there is my what the hell ever and then they say this is normaly open ohhh my bad normaly open and so on. but this is knowing video no confusion . very nice thanks
