Mary’s Apparitions for the World: LaSalette - Maximin

The 1846 apparition of LaSalette is so rich in content that it could be regarded as the central motif in the mosaic of Mary’s apparitions. The secret part of the message (made public a dozen years later) was unpopular and persecuted, even though it was quickly approved by the local bishop and read by Blessed Pius IX. Although Melanie Calvat was the primary bearer, guardian and publisher of the great Secret, her companion witness that September day was Maximin, a boy from a nearby town, hired on that day to replace a sick shepherd. Today we’ll turn our attention to this young seer who was faithful until death despite poverty and persecution.

According to Our Lady of La Salette (many years earlier that the later apparitions) the chastisement is already with us.
The wicked days are already here and ever so evident especially in England, Italy and the United States.

My mother told me several times that her grandfather Jourdain had met Maximin in Corps. Distant relations of his had looked after Maximin for a while.
They were chatting and drinking together with childhood friends of Maximin. After a while, one said "Come on, you can tell me. We've known each other all our lives." He wanted Maximin to admit the apparition was a lie.
My mum's grandfather said Maximin replied quietly "I know what I saw". Then he got up and walked away, refusing to say anything more.

I live not far from LaSalette I go there about once a year when there's the yearly diocencen pilgrimage, last year the Bishop, Monseigneur de Kerimel, didn't mention the message of our Lady. It's very sad. Please pray for him.

When Our Lady said, My Son... She could be speaking for the Father because Christ is also the Father's Son. I'm referring to the part where she says, I gave you 6 days..., and the 7th day is for me. If The Father was speaking through her there, He also speaks when she says, My Son.

Did you ever notice that no one refers to the spirit of the Council as the Holy Spirit?

A council approved by the pope cannot be false, so no other spirit can be behind it but the Holy Ghost. What some refer to as "the spirit of the council" is simply a poetic way of talking about a false movement. Basically, since the devil takes advantage of change, he brought about a lot of destruction under the guise of fulfilling the council. Gratefully he did not and could not succeed.
