Awesome! I don't know why we brazilians never keep "old things". I once saw a german photobook about Rio de janeiro in the 50's and the streets were filled with cool cars. Now it's impossible to find cars from that era. You can only find one or two and they are either super rusty or super restored. You can't find a middle ground. Sadly our culture only care for what is new.
Absolutely wonderful car. They did an amazing job with it: perfect interior, great engine work, and that beautiful new paint that gives it that classic shine. Love it!
My first car was a 57 chevy BelAir 283, same car except mine was Chevy red. My Dad paid 450.00 dollars for it. Of course it being my first car at 16 years old I had an accident that totaled it. I have never gotten over the loss.
Awesome. At first I was like whoa, wait a minute, you're on the wrong side of the road! Then I realized oh, you must be in the UK or something. Awesome car though, enjoy it!
This car doesn't have a power steering like modern cars.😂 When I started driving , i was trained in a 4 speed manual ,non power steering hatchback vehicle.
@@my55chevy43 Ah thank you for the information, I didn't know that the wheel could be adjusted tbh. I would be fine with the non power steering without making any changes. 👍😊
In the 50's it was just standard vehicles, nothing much about it.. Now days, it's a dream car and such. Had 55 Bel air as a dream car since I was 5 and my grandpa used to pick me and my little brother for a cruise in town. So at 22 I bought myself one and man, such a joy to drive. Had too sell it when I turned 25 and that's the one I regret the most in life. But I have an impala 65 which isn't that bad either. Cadillac deville 1981 Chevrolet Impala 1965 Chevrolet Caprice 1977 as a daily driver. Lovley cars
Such a nice car to drive, but you gotta be constantly alert on that wheel. Not something you'd drive with your knee on the highway haha Saying this after just coming home in an i6 one, sadly
Seeing how much you have to turn the steering wheel just make a very long and easy turn seriously freaks me out, especially in a car with not so outdated performances.
Absolute. Palace. Car. Just like how 1950's Frigidaire washing machines were Absolute Palace Washing Machines. Even better I can see that this Absolute American Masterpiece of 1950's Palace Architecture is in my political territory(country), England. With an E Type in Willow Green and 1930's Rolls Royces, a 1957 Bel Air in Turquoise is a DAMN MUST HAVE for me. Or one in black with a red interior just like 57' Lady. I'd take both. Too spectacular in architectural design to not!
I don't know why, but when i see cars like these i can't stand. This design, how it looks. One day i will be it for sure. *20 y.o. boy, who loves such cars, and consider this design one of the best ever man made, and when i see modern cars these days...i am crying, cuz i don't know how we made it possible. How we turned masterpiece into a can without soul, and voice 😓
A man's car, no power steering, no power brakes, no power windows, no abs, no seatbelts. Don't have the time to go to the gym? Buy this. Drive it every day for 30 minutes and a month later you'll have six packs.
So quiet and peaceful. It seems like a scene in a movie before shit hits the fan

I love this car. It’s a nice color, V8 engine, still in good shape. I don’t mind if it is a l sedan model but I recommend convertible style.

I saw one today, here in São Paulo, Brazil! A man in his 70s and his two grandchildren in the back seat! Was a black 1957 Belair!

@@renatoassis5300 A big issue is probably the price tag on these classics. I mean they arent exactly cheap😅
I've seen some beautiful modern cars and hypercars... but none of them have beauty that can hold up to this masterpiece of artwork.

The Dream Car of my whole Life, a '57 Bel Air. What a Masterpiece.
The sounds of a nice V8 with little wind and tire noise... much better than the last video
That entire road is the size of a single lane that thing was designed to cruise down on. Love it! So out of its element.
Beautiful car: like a masterpiece of artwork. 😍😍
Thank you!

I’m restoring mine now, been working on it for a long time. Yours is gorgeous!
Thank you! Good luck with the restoration :)
It’s looks like steering wheel did not connect to the wheels lol
Jiarui Zhang it takes a lot to steer an All metal vehicle? 😂 it does match bit it takes a while to steer thousands of pounds of metal lol
@@josephorona9607 It probably just has a lot of play in it. I would think they would have fixed that when it was restored.
Pretty easy to adjust the steering box!
