DDP said what he said about African champs when he was still starting his ufc career which means his statement includes Kamaru Usman and Francis Ngannou who were African and champions at the time. Before you say they don't train in their home country, do you believe they would become ufc champions if they exclusively trained in their home countries? Would you have ene know about francis if he never crossed the border?
Adesanya said what he said about Whittaker as a build up to a fight. He probably was just trying to get under his skin for the fight.

Currently live in Africa (Mozambique), have been to SA and neighbouring countries, the spectrum of social classes is truly very different to anywhere in the world. You can be very modest yet have servants. Having maids, servants is not a good indicator of wealth. That being said, having had access to travel internationally, is a much more telling indicator.

I don’t think he’s completely rattled. He wasn’t crying about what dricus said.. he was crying because he was reflecting on his families history. It’s emotional and obviously important to him. It won’t impact his fighting ability he has a great team around and knows how to dial in to all of his emotions
