I don't remember Andrew having a muscular build in the movie, he's always been slim so I don't understand why the muscular build. Could be that they used models from the film and if that's the case, it's understandable considering its movie accurate, but the models looked off in some instances, especially Andrew's first appearance in the film when he jumped out of the portal, he's just too muscular. I own the Figuarts and from what I see, he's pretty on par to Andrew's real life physique so I give it to the Figuarts just for anesthetic alone.
Legends win, Figuarts looks so inaccurate and they haven’t learned from Mafex mistake that ruined the otherwise definitive TASM 2 figure by using metallic paint that faded overtime
IMO: Paint: SHF (that metallic maroon is so beautiful; Hasbro cheapening out with their paint apps, its not like they haven't done metallic paint before) Sculpt: ML (Headsculpt actually reminds me of the movie, and the body doesn't have crash dummy proportions like SHF) Articulation: SHF (No brainer, ML's a bit too weak) Accesories: ML (SHF technically has more accesories, but we also have to consider the inclusion of an Andrew head in ML's single carded release) Price: ML (SHF might feel like a higher quality product, but the huge price difference cannot be ignored) That's 2-3 in favor of Marvel Legends. It's a close comparison, it can go either way honestly; but the fact that these two widely different priced figures even compare is all that you need to know. Let's just wait for Mafex's release that will blow these two out of the water in about 2036 lol.

Even though the marvel legend bends backwards a bit better, I feel the sh figuart does make it look more realistic and better like the stomach on the marvel legend doesn't look overall that great when its posed.
IMO just for the Garfield headsculpt Marvel Legends wins hands down. I would never spent a hundred bucks for s.h. without the head for me is an indispensable accessories. So yeah good video shart marry Christmas to you
LOL wait so it eventually came down to which one was cheaper? Then this entire video's point is mute. What's the point? Marvel legends is going to win every single one of these.
I think I'd give it to the Marvel Legends overall. While you do only get one set of hands compared to the SHF? There are no closed fist hands for the SHF and sadly it seems like the SHF does not have an alternate unmasked head. The new versions of the Legends Spidey's all have alternate heads and I guess I would take that over more alternate hands. That said Mafex have No Way home figures coming and I think they could be the best of the bunch? For about the same price or a little more of the SHF? You get three head sculpts for Tobey. You get 4 for Tom Holland. And 2 for Andrew. You get a variety of web lines, and a mask that he can hold.
What makes sh figuarts win automatically is the fact it doesnt look like cheap plastic☠️+ movement+ accessories and also tasm 2 is slimmer than the rest of the spidermen but you gave that point to marvel legends for making him look more bulky but isnt movie accurate?😭
What about costume screen accuracy? There's so much reference material available and the Legends team still f'd up the back spider on their figure. I'm biased towards Marvel Legends so this irks me. This is compounded by the fact that their old TASM2 figure has the spider accurately placed.
Im already drunk here in Philippines. But merry christmas to u shartirmus. And all of u here and comment section. I wish we got new brandnew mold of legends Jimlee Wolvi next year. And I can wish Hasbro put effort to Wolvi and Deadpool Mcu toy next year thats all.
I think for me Sh figuarts still wins despite the lack of fists and no alternate unmasked plus the articulation on the Sh figuarts is so much better But the Legends version has fists well only in the 3pack version unfortunately and the Price point is affordable But that's it if you have the budget SHF is clearly the better figure objectively, also to me the weird hips on The SHF is understandable for more range in hips yet Retro/RVY Spiderman body has a horrible neck joint yet that's pretty much a design flaw.
Yeah but s.h f has 2 pairs of relaxed/ crawling hands and can you really count that as extra when they do the exact thing, it still wins but what good is the hands we don't need and not to mention no fist
Certainly enjoyed this comparison video, but for me I can't award points in a similar manner. The aesthetic is what matters most to me, and the Legends figure here wins hands down - better proportions, nice paint job, joints blended into the bodyline as much as possible, perfectly adequate articulation. Next to it, the SH Figuarts one looks like a crash-test dummy. Sure, the Legends could have done with more accessories, but as Collectors, we never get enough of those anyway. Good job, Shartimus... Final swing suit Tom is better in height. And the two pack Peter 1 matches close enough. He’s not taller than Tobey but he’s not overly shorter either. I’m glad the initial “turbo man” craze for the 3 is over and now we can get extras. I’m buying all 3 again in a couple days. Tobey and Andrew in the box and I hopefully can get a better Tom. The one I got has leg issues and a little black smudge on the the chest 😑 go figure.
Yeah seems a bit of a bias decision. I get when price comes into play but you can always buy used and that usually evens out the playing field. The height and build was hard to watch. Spider man MCU is not tall or muscular. So I'm unsure why would you give that to marvel legends?
If I want to pose a figure till my fingers fall off it's shf. If I want to casually pose and chill. Look at the figure and admire it I'm going with marvel legends
I've never liked S.H. I don't think their figures are accurate at all AND their joints look awful. The only thing they got going is maybe higher quality of detail in some figures. But hardly worth the price. I wish Hasbro would give us Andrew Garfield Spider-Man type of quality on all figures. That would certainly give S.H a run for their money!
Marvel legends wins across the board. I just don’t like the aesthetics of the shf at all, never have. None of it looks right, Mafex and Legends all the way.

Why? I'd argue the same... but for the Marvel Legends one😅 Legends has a sculpt that looks like a 90s cartoon version with it being extremely muscular where as the S.H. has a realistic sculpt and mimics Andrew's actual build.
Marvel Legends scale is accurate. Tom Holland is 2 inches shorter than Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield is 3 inches taller than Tobey Maguire.
