UNBS cracks down on uncertified grain millers

At least 19 maize milling plants in Nateete in Kampala’s Rubaga Division have been closed for operating in unhygienic conditions and without certification.
Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) had warned the maize grain and maize flour millers that they had to obtain the certification Q mark by July.
UNBS Surveillance Officer Sarah Nantongo led the inspection of 27 millers in Natete and Nalukolongo.
