I honestly wonder how many of you have this same sentiment because of a single mum who sent your dad away - or picked a bum in the first place. Take inventory gents, men aren’t to blame nearly as much as wahmens and society would like you to believe.
Dislikes are from people that wanted to know how to make a full installation including a socket for lights. It's illegal to drive with your lights covered. Even for bicycle rack you need it.
Thanks for the help suggestions and information cause i bought a truck that only has a bumper mount and I prefer not to use the the bumper to tow a 14 ft flat bottom boat & trailer or a 6x10 lawn mower trailer
When I insert the ball mount into the hitch receiver tube, the pin holes don't line up. If I back the ball mount out a bit, the holes align; the pin goes through no problem. Feels sturdy. Is that ok? I just dont know if it's necessary for the ball mount shaft to insert all the way to the back of the receiver tube 🤔...
yes, the pin holds everything, yes its ok as long as the pin goes all the way through and is secured. it also needs to be deep in the receiver tube, but not perfectly deep all the way. it can come out an inch or maybe two. depends on the overall length of the draw bar
I was very nervous putting my brand new beach cruiser on this rack. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxG6JIgwJhur8_Rg8UeQ3EmePzi_wSncL8 But after reading many reviews I decided to get this one and take a chance. When arrived it was very simple to adjust and put together. I also added spike tape over the metal hooks before securing and tightening the straps, and no scratches. I also purchased the top bar made by the same company so that my cruiser sits straight on the rack without having to turn upside down. Extra bungee cords are used to secure the front wheel from flapping and even piece of mind knowing your bike is secure. Definitely recommend...
I always apply the adjustable wrench the opposite way, so that torque goes into the stronger, stationary jaw. Lock washer always goes against the bolt head not "the teeth of the washer should be against the receiver hitch." I will forgive the first mistake but not the basic bolt, lock washer, flat washer order. That is improper procedure and should be edited out.

The dislikes are from mechanics who get paid $130 to install this
I’m getting charge $319
@@sar5star is that $319 for just the labor? Or does this include the hitting and ball joint?

130 is cheap
Nah it's from people who know how to properly install lock washers and R clips
lock washer goes against bolt head. One of the photos shows the opposite. Make sure pin clip opening faces down.
Thanks Chris, really appreciate the video, and thanks O'Reilly auto parts
He said hold the" ball" and tighten the "nut" right?
What does "tightened to manufactured specifications" mean? Can we get some examples?

@@andiarrohnds5163 thank you so much for these details
Do you not have to weld anything when installing the hitch ???
Lol.
Nope. Those bolts to the frame will do the same job welding it to the frame would
Can't do this on my Altima. Gotta take off both mufflers and use a step-down drill bit. Eff it.
Orillies said I have to drill! What do I need for that?
It’s incredible to me that this simple cotter key clip is holding that lock pin in place. Am I the only one who feels that way?
Apparently

Part # for the tow hitch?
VeHICles. I love people who say it correctly lol. Good info.

Thank you I'm learning
What about the electrics?
Nothing here about wiring for lights which is the most important and complicated part...
Pointless because he didn’t show how to wiring was done, wiring you know for your trailer signals.

“V-hickle”
That was exactly what I was thinking like why did he say it like that
Protect your ball finish with a rag. Then drive 10 miles of ice melted roads, and there will be no finish left.
You didn't show the wiring ya know for turn signals and brakes ect..
