Our first dive into the world of Temtem! For those who don't know, I backed Temtem on Kickstarter many moons ago and I have been excited for this games launch! In this video we jump into the airborne archipelago and choose our starter Temtem! We travel across to Brical De Mar and search for our first LUMA Temtem, or Shiny!

Hey guys, trying something a bit different! I backed Temtem on kickstarter way back and I'm excited to give this a shot! Hope you enjoy =]
I played Pokemon since Gen 1 nur I like temtem actually more now. The Gameplay, Story and difficulty is so much better then in Pokemon

Keep in mind that this isn't the complete project so in the future it should be running better
In case peaople are starting up, there's an equipable item called a Cowards Cloak that is like an Exp Share for one of your Tem Tems, it is in the top left of the first island map and requires the surfboard to reach and beating a bunch of the bandit faction enemies but definitely worth it👍
I backed it the moment I heard about it as well, don’t think I was as early as you were lol. I did play alpha & I’m excited about playing it again but I’ve been too sick to get up & play so seeing you play was great. Trying to heal up so that I can make it to the Sword & Shield prerelease this weekend, I’m primarily a TCG player & for me, playing with the new cards as early as possible is important to learn different strategies & get use to the changes quicker. Anyways, looking forward to more Temtem content, hopefully I can actually get myself up to take advantage of that $30 I spent backing this but for now, I’m glued to the couch.

I like temtem but my major criticism is this game needs an offline mode when it's a finished project like Pokémon sword and shield. I've tried playing this game consecutively and I had to constantly keep on waiting and hoping the next temtem I run into won't make me lose connection. So thank god for auto save.
As an MMO, i think it won't have offline mode. MMO usually never have an offline mode xD
That's probably why Pokémon hasn't got a MMO because of "Always Online"
After watching the online mode of sword & shield, it was a big fail (they wouldn't be able to have the amount of players temtem has online now, at the same time in the wild area).. maybe with the expansions it gets better. Also not going for PC and the other consoles is a big disadvantage for the online thing.
@@Tinchisx they are supposedly bringing it to home consoles next year or so
Just like to mention that they were having server issues due to too much players playing at the same time. They fixed most of it and game is now playable. There are still some bugs, but it's early days.

Thank you for playing this so I could see how it looks, Pokemon is my #1 favourite franchise so I do have a love for games which involve the collection of monsters in teams, including franchises like digimon, and other such ones like spectrobes + dragon quest monsters joker + monster Hunter stories (you get the idea), so I appreciate you showing what the visuals and gameplay looks like, as it looked relevant to my interests. I do have to wait for the switch version but I'll roll with it ^_^ thanks aDrive

I am genuinely convinced that he's just too lazy to make thumbnails anymore. He could easily just Screenshot his face/reaction to something in-game. Its honestly just laziness nothing else.

I just found out that the creators of this game are finally starting the process of getting this onto the Switch! I am happy I will finally be able to get it and play it!
i feel like you have already played through the parts that you're playing through in this video.

I’m glad that most people don’t think of this as a Pokémon rip-off, they think of this game as a nice addition.

I agree this feels like a scuffed pokemon fan game to me.
Game is pretty good and devs are awesome, i've followed their work since the EA and they worked so hard to get the game working with all the problems the EA was having. Could it be a competition for pokemon? Now i say no, but in more than a year of work and if devs continue how they'r working rn, i will say yes it will be. Also if it continues as a MMO, it can add TONS of things for players to do or do in co-op and competitive could get very interesting.
And if it wasn't good, it wouldn't have 32k users (and witcher 3 has 35k, ark 38k)
The monster catcher cum battler genre is more popular , there will always be min 5k players even for online Pokemon romhacks

They need to move away from forced double battles. I hate double battles.
Ganki is actually a useful Temtem to have on your team; it's only weak to Crystal and it's super-effective against five types, including Wind and Water, which in Deniz are so common that you have already two Wind types plus two of your team gain the Wind type when they evolve. Alternatively, you could consider the rare Nessla, which could be neat if you get one with Electric Synthesize (put it on the right-hand side and use Chain Lightning).
I could see Tem Tem taking off, it’s pokemon with no drama.

@PrinceWaffles there trying atleast. Plus it depends on the fanbase if temtem will last or not and if the team keeps up with the updates it will do fine.

@@lordwobbuffet3205 I think this is one of the biggest advantages temtem has. With pc they can get so much superior compared to pkmn in a technical pov. I mean they kinda already are. Quite good online gaming and 144fps on a 144hz monitor is something no official pkmn game can offer me atm.

@@fish-y536 we dont Matter about the server stability/early access, we just left Pokémon cause the mechanics of temtem are better and much more polished, per example, the total removal of RNG on fights, the use of stamina to balance moves and mainly 2v2, and even on early access, the adventure is much longer than any Pokémon Game, and the most important, is actually a fun challenge, pokemon games are too easy that i even can complete with just 1 or 2 Pokémon without fail once, here you need to use the entire Squad and a balanced team to counter the Dojo leaders, and yes, probably a lot of us wont come back to Pokémon cause this reasons, why dont give a try yourself? still want to buttlick gamefreak franchise with worse and expensiver games? 60€ for a very flawed game with a 30€ DLC to "fix" It, and you complain about the 30€ of temtem? You make no sense
@@chape7489 He makes sense, cous the Stamina system sucks, only 2v2 fights are so bad on a long term, thats why Coloseum and XD are not so much loved, and the Removal of the RNG take away the Kick of turning a battle around with the right amount of luck at the right time. If you think Pokemon is to easy for you, its your buysnes, but i personal Play Pokemon since gen 1 and i like gen 7 and 8 much more then the early games.

no EA generally doesnt reset at release unless theres been some kind of crazy exloits or glitches like Ark survival evolved

jfc, so many haters here. If Dan enjoys playing Temtem, get over it and wait until he does another pokemon video. Hating something new and exciting to others doesn't make you look cool. I hope they're very successful and get Gamefreak off their asses so they do better with their own games in the future. The $30dlc has more content confirmed than this game that's already out. And the people working on temtem said there gunna RAISE THE PRICE!
Roblox Oof Temtem isn’t fully out yet (still in early access) and the current state ofthe game isn’t even a third of the way finished yet is still just as long as all the rest of the Pokémon games. There is plenty of content now and a lot more on its way. plus we don’t know how much more they are going to increase the price, it could still end up being less than Pokemon for all we know. And tbh for a company as dedicated as Crema, that sounds a lot more what will happen then it ending up being more than pokemon. And technically pokemon is increasing the price of the game by adding dlc
This game has 20 hours of content for more than half of pokemon's price and sword and shield have 100+hours of content. Also,The point of alpha is to give you an idea of what direction they plan to take the game in. If thay released this game when it was better it would get less hate they released it because they thought this ripoff was good enough for the public to see and it really isn't. This is a Kickstarter/Crowdfunding game, they don't have the assets of a huge company like Pokemon/Gamefreak/Nintendo, yet they delivered what they promised. I won't go further in this matter, as I feel it's useless to debate anything if the other person is too much of a blind pokemon fan.

Why does everything have to be a blatant copy of something else in this day and age? Yeah it's cool to make another creature collection game, but at least put in some effort to not make it an exact carbon copy of what gamefreak has done for years, except with a mask on.
Battling in Temtem works nothing like pokemon with its Stamina, Synergies and no rng (No crits, no random status effects, no miss chances)
Lord Wobbuffet it’s 90% the same. It could have more than 4 moves, different stats, not copy IVs AND EVs, 10 dojo’s instead of 8, not a 4 stage capture. There’s a lot this game could change
