      @@PirateGoods I love the explanation to things here and there not necessary a full on tutorial or step by step, but the little snip bits here and there are great. like the leather type for this video and how you mentioned you needed to scratch it for the glue to set better. I never new that was a thing

      @PirateGoods  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely try this leather! Oh, and one more thing, it’s much thinner than usual Shell Cordovan, approximately 1.3mm 👌

    This a very cool embossing pattern on the leather. What type of leather is it? Thanks. Beautiful work.

      Thank so much mate! It is a Shell Cordovan leather, called Metta Catharina. This leather are made with reopened old recipes, so as a result it gives an amazing feel, and unbelievable experience for me as a crafter and for customers too. This leather has high oil and fat content, offering a soft, yet dense and supple texture👌

    Do you work a lot with scrap leather? or mostly new?

    • @PirateGoods
      @PirateGoods  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Always with a new one💪 I saw all this scrap boxes for sale, but same time I have my personal box of scrap pieces and sometimes I’m using it. Most of the time it’s not enough of some color for particular product, or you have several pieces of one color but the tone difference is massive.
      So yeah, I prefer to buy a new leather piece and work with it💪

      @@PirateGoods Oh this looked like a left over piece, but I guess they come in small irregular shapes?

    • @PirateGoods
      @PirateGoods  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, Shell Cordovan leather is produced in that type of shape, sometimes smaller like this one, sometimes larger size, but always in such type of form 👌
