With a Cummins diesel not much. They are the Toyota supras of the diesel world. doesn’t take much besides a built trans. Lift pump, injectors, a tune and a big turbo or compounds. And most is easy too install.

Question: do you keep it in 4 hi the entire run or do you switch to 2wd half way through.? I just got my truck and never has a 4x4 before so idk if the transfer case can take the speeds or not.. and I've never heard of a "built" transfer case
Building transfer cases isn’t super common but i know shops that do it. There would be no way to switch out of 4hi with the amount of drive pressure in play. You could turn the knob, but torque will keep it locked in 4 until you start coasting.

I was purposefully choosing the right side to keep the smoke away from the other drivers and the crowd. Once Rich at DogHouse Diesel fine tune it again, that low end launch smoke will clear up a good bit more.
I've towed with my 3500 almost every day of it's life, usually with at least 13,000 pounds of trailer weight in hilly Vermont, yes, my engine is stock, but that truck is completely empty, so the transfer case should handle the abuse, at least for a while.

His reaction time was 1.160 and my reaction time was .221. Based on Real math that is less than a second. He was sleeping a bit but it was only a test and tune session so it did not matter. His ET was a 12.037 and my truck ran 10.709. His MPH was 125.19 and mine was 129.43. Needless to say I weigh about 2000 pounds more, was quicker by over a second, faster by 5 mph, so he lost either way. If you need the time slip I can send it to you

So, factor that into your %'s. In drag racing, an over 1 sec. difference between vehicles is a HUGE difference and considered "blown away". So considering that my truck weighs almost Twice what a ZO6 505hp Vette weighs, I think it's a bigger win than you think. Not bragging but just clearing up how much of a crazy feet it is to move 7100 lbs. that quick. Anyway, I like Vettes too. No disrespect to that driver.

Ford means found on road dead, the vette didn't take off when the cummins did, which probably means the driver was not experienced, and weight to power ratio trophy goes to the vette. the Ford would've lost if he would've launched at the start.
