      Hello! IQ drive is the collective name given to all of the driver assistance features on a particular vehicle, was there a certain feature you were looking to activate?

    I wish it works like how Honda Odyssey did it. There’s no limiting too many detection but only if it’s drastic curve. It almost like autodrive already. Hope VW fixes it or I’ll go back to Honda.

    Which trim lines come with lane assist?

    • @abbyatleavensvw9338
      @abbyatleavensvw9338 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! It depends on the model year that you're looking at - most of the top trim levels in 2021 (i.e. Execline Atlas or Highline Tiguan) will come standard with lane assist. In previous years a lot of models had the option for the "driver assistance package" which would usually come with lane assist. If you have a question about a specific model and year, please feel free to reach out to me directly at abby@leavensvw.com. I'd be happy to help :)

      @Jean Luck Piccard hi Jean! The S trim is based out of USA, we’re located in Canada so our equivalent is called the Comfortline. Unfortunately lane assist is only available on top trim levels. This link would be a good reference for you, but specs may differ if you’re looking at a 2020 or 2021 model.

    I don’t know why people are saying this is dangerous I was expecting something really intrusive after all the blanket it’s dangerous statement. If anyone is interested & like I was dreading this feature here is my honest opinion on it. I’ve driven professionally for around a million miles in all types of cars. Is lane assist dangerous! Answer is a Big No! Annoying sometimes yes because you have to use your indicators when changing between lanes but that’s it at no point does it override your inputs it may feel like it & I think this is where the misconception comes from. If you don’t indicate between lane change the steering feels heavier given you the illusion your car is trying to counter your inputs. In fact if those who are saying it’s dangerous are just annoyed they need to use the indicator stork & identify as a BMW driver 😂. In all seriousness it’s no big deal it’s not dangerous in the slightest & it can be turned off but as I drive normally between the white lines & use my indicators I rarely know it’s even there.

      It becomes a problem when you just have to move over line a foot to pass a cyclist or to miss a pot hole or some debris in road. It you turn it off it should stay off until you reactivate it.

      @@AlanRambler It’s doesn’t stop you if you override it. If I’m overtaking a cyclist I use my indicator which tells the car it’s okay & deactivates lane assist for that manoeuvre. It really doesn’t override the driver input no matter how it feels it does try to warn you through haptic feedback through the wheel this is why people get confused the car is taking over.

    No , it can’t be turned off permanently…..you have to do it each time you drive

    If lane assist is annoying you, it’s probably do to poor driving habits in which it’s trying to correct.

    It's dangerous! I turn it off first every startup.

  • @XennialTV

    This is nonsensical on british roads, our roads are small and windy and have parked cars on both sides meaning you regularly have to cross the white lines to avoid parked cars and it'll be kicking off every 5 seconds.
