In early 2015 my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer! She then started treatment at The Dempsey Center in Maine ( I was only 11 at the time) I didn't watch Grey's Anatomy then but I started watching it about 3 years ago and about 6 months ago I put 2 and 2 together! Patrick Dempsey owns The Dempsey Center! I could have met him and I wouldn't have known! Now that I think of I think I met him!! Unfortunately my grandmother passed away in early February of 2016! The Dempsey Center tried there best to save my grandmother! 2 of her doctors from The Dempsey Center actually showed up to my grandmothers wake! Rest in Peace Grammy! I love you!
He is such a genuine person. So down to earth. I'm glad Hollywood hasn't destroyed him.
Still miss him in Grey's Anatomy.

The buddy program sounds wonderful, because so many people feel like they're going through this alone, and need encouragement to not give up, etc
I wished there were more people like that and or famous actors who have the exposure in Canada creating free services for support to cancer patients.
