    ABOUT WILL & GRACE
    That's right, honey! A decade after their unforgettable eight-season run, comedy's most fabulous foursome is back. Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally reprise their celebrated roles as Will, Grace, Jack and Karen. The 11th and final season of Will & Grace will feature 18 episodes. Behold once again, from the minds of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, TV's wittiest ensemble ever. The legendary James Burrows, director of every original Will & Grace episode, has returned with a slew of razor-sharp jabs and dirty martinis. Will & Grace stands as NBC's most watched comedy in seven years. Originally debuting in 1998, Will & Grace has been nominated for 91 Emmy Awards, winning 18 of them, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The series has also earned seven SAG Awards and the show is one of the few in TV history where each member of the cast has won an Emmy.

    You just had to play along because anything else would mean losing your job, your friends, sometimes your place, and your family. There was no use getting bent out of shape over that. That was crazy. You either had what you needed to survive or you didn't. It's just the way things were. Maybe not in the 90s and early 2000s but definitely before that.

    • @LuluLuscious
      @LuluLuscious หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      The way you typed that out so perfectly is so thought-provoking to me. My formative years was during this phase of our society. I'm still working to unravel some of the effects now. I loved watching this scene today and thinking about how in the 90's and early 2000's-- I didn't believe that being externally true to my feminine nature or having a Loving Gay partner to fall in love with and grow old with were actual Life options.
      "Don't Ask Don't Tell" is something I think of frequently. I'm so thankful to the progress we've made as a society. We've grown more and more accepting of others. We're not in "survival" mode any longer and I'm thankful to live and interact around happier, more accepting, kinder people. People who are blessed to have more work-life balance which drives them to happier states out and about-- hopefully some of that translates to an easy-going nature of accepting others for who they are so long as they're not harming others!

    As a bisexual man, this feels shallow and fake to me. To me, the "out and proud" aspect is a red flag. I am not in the closet either. I am simply balanced when it comes to sex and the human orgasm.
    I believe the spectrum is not gay to straight, because I think everyone is bisexual. To me, the spectrum is about sex drive. From high to low. I think that's far more telling as to a person's personality than whether or not they have a strong preference.
    In a situation like this, strong preferences are usually socially constructed. I.e., they contain little to no meaning.

    • @Bloooo95

      There's a difference between "being out" in the sense you are honest with people about yourself vs "being out" by acting as flamboyant/stereotype gay as possible. Everyone is also not bi, biologically and psychologically we vary person to person. Bi aint the default mode lol

    • @callmeswivelhips8229
      @callmeswivelhips8229 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thebreadtable4880 In my opinion, that's exactly what it is...the default mode. Identifying as gay _or_ straight is so forced & unnatural. Either you want it...or you don't.
      With all due respect, I'm so sick and tired of this sentient level, "I'm in control" BS people keep shoveling.
      If you weren't sentient, you wouldn't even be aware of this gay/straight thing us humans made up to begin with.
      I have confidence in my belief that's it's not about gender or sex. That's so superficial and fake. It's about the intimacy and the history of a relationship. What two people have or haven't built together. And with intention and purpose as well.
      It's the only part of this whole thing that's real.

    • @fixieroy
      @fixieroy วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think out and proud is a persons unwillingness to be shamed or silenced. Ones attraction is only a fragment of who they are yet people will try to silence, berate, police, shame them just for the suspicion of being LGBT+. Its a response to walk with your head held high despite of others opinions. But its also putting your own self at risk. Not every place is like NYC. There are many places within America where a person could be denied work or assaulted. Its even worse outside the USA. Idk if many of you realize the luxury of being “out”. Theres many places where assault and murder of LGBT people aren’t even considered hate crimes. And many places where it’s not taken seriously by the police and they see it as a joke or something “funny”. Maybe you should look into those horror stories.
      I don’t like people that people try to date closeted and force others into secrecy but i also understand the trauma that some experienced that may leave them afraid to be themselves. That pain is valid too but all in all folks just need to find someone thats on their level.
      Edit: And another thing is - i always see people complaining about “oh why be out” - “why be flashy” *insert excuse here* - but my question is why put so much time and energy into judging other people. For what? Whats the goal other than to appease some religious zealots and bigots??

    • @callmeswivelhips8229
      @callmeswivelhips8229 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@thebreadtable4880 That's _exactly_ what bisexual is...the default mode. Ultimately, someone who is "out and proud", from my point of view, is bitter. I no longer value the over-investment into sexual orientation; I think it unnatural and unhealthy.
      Our ability to orgasm is a biological function. _Everyone_ gets erections while they sleep at night. If they didn't, they would lose the ability to achieve an erection in the first place. To me, sexual relations is in the same category as consuming food/water and going to the bathroom.
      And we might have categories people identify with in those areas too. Vegetarians or ketogenic in terms of dietary lifestyles for example. But most people just eat whatever food they want to eat without putting any more thought into it than that. In other words, they are without category because it is not important.
      Imagine if you identified as "toilet", and could never use a urinal because, "I'm a toilet, I don't like urinals". That's my view of sexual orientation. People are insecure about sex itself. And they react to that insecurity by trying to control their relationship with sex via a sexual orientation. In truth, sexual relations is a member of the social skills tool belt; it is one of many.
      Identifying as gay or straight is a reaction in my view; it's a sign of a bruised ego. And I simply do. not. care. about that any longer. I've seen too many people on both sides end up in cringe-level bi-curious situations on a regular basis to take anyone seriously on it anymore.
