Well the only pole you haven’t used yet is a cane pole and a fly rod. I bet you can figure out how to get them out far enough to catch fish. Great video, I love to see you catch on the ultralight tackle.

Great video! I absolutely love using my ice fishing pole. I put 10# braid on it and love to catch Spanish with it. If you want a real fight, try to catch mangroves with it!
The "runt rod" was killing those Whiting! So what is the flavor of the green Fish Gum? My guess is the ice fishing rods are so small because they have to be compact to fish in tight places like small ice huts and it is not necessary to have a long rod when fishing through the ice in a small hole. Would not seem to be practical to use a long rod anyway.

Well can cast a fly rod a bit over 120' w/ fly line can also put a spinning reel on and cast a lot farther.

Because you’re normally in a tent or a small shack. Sitting right by the hole and no casting.
Because it's for ice fishing to ice fishing it's dropped strate down throw a whole lot there's no casting in ice fishing
