Your using a tiny rod and light weight line, you don't try and crank the fish in. You want to fight the fish, that's the joy of using light gear. You use light gear with light drag and enjoy the fight. You may lose more than you catch but that the fun of it . I have even used an ice jigging rod to catch black sea bass.
You can tell there's a lot of effort put into the making of this video. Plus fishing videos are awesome so you just earned another sub. Keep on posting I'll be watching
Haha that was awesome! I've been tempted to try that myself but my ice rod has 2 lb test on it and I'm not sure that's a great idea. Great video as always
Haha I had 6lb test, 2lb would make it extra hard to get a decent hook set. Should definitely give it a try though! Lots of fun once you get one hooked. Thanks for watching Isaac!
I did a charter in the Chesapeake Bay once and as a kind of party trick they'd land stripper on those, where we were in Maryland minimum keeping size was 30ib
that's nothing. Unlike most 7' 50+braid wenching killers making their bass ski across the water I use a 4' ultra light with 10lb braid and use it for carp fishing on our farm pond. 30lbers easy having the best time fighting them.
Looks like you have the Berkley lightning rod ice rod you should check out berkleys 7foot medium light fast action tip and it has great sensitivity or the cheap price of 49.99$
Here is the mount I used to record the panning timelapse at 0:15 www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00LSFP4XO/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1463541628&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=panning+timelapse&dpPl=1&dpID=51GKjt3PioL&ref=plSrch
Rod/reel combo with fishing kit as an emergency setup th-cam.com/users/postUgkxntWMOZsO1Zfv-pdn_XuffEtNkTYAYu4Z recommend but started to use this every day. The rod is thick and seems durable. I keep it neatly tucked into a regular backpack all the time with my fishing gear, and can grab it anytime, put it on my back and go anywhere. I just read in another review that the rod length below the reel is adjustable as well, so I will try that too for even more portability. Probably the best setup I've ever owned. I lost the cap for the eyelets, but no big deal since I still have the black cloth sheath that came for the pole and I use that. Very portable and high quality.
sorry dude I got to call you out on something every time you catch a fish you walk out of frame to go weigh the fish this has got to stop keep your scale with you and get the fish back in the water... common
*Packaging was awesome. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend Tube is tough and kept the rod very safe. Rods gorgeous! Can’t wait to use it this spring.*
You've done the mega fishing pole challenge and the mini one now you should try a tiny fishing pole with a giant real or vice versa
Sam Ramirez lol the reel wouldn't fit on the tiny rod

The beginning was funny. Were you pointing at the dog to use him/her? 😂
haha that looks like a challenge.
What pond did you go to catch those good size bass near the bank?
Great job! congratulations! ;)
Great video will be doing the same tomorrow!
For the "micro fishing" kinda videos you do in tiny creeks, how should I try to find a place to micro fish in scotland, or anywhere just any tips?
You never know where you might find fish but the creeks that are somewhat close to larger bodies of water should hold fish. Thanks for watching!!
ive caught my personal best on a crappie rod so it can be done but u do need a longer rod for a better hook set
You edits sure dope
I did a charter in the Chesapeake Bay once and as a kind of party trick they'd land stripper on those, where we were in Maryland minimum keeping size was 30ib

Ha Ha, this is awesome! I was wondering what's the make/model of the camera seen at 4:35?
Haha thanks man! That camera is a Panasonic G7 with an external microphone on top.
Have you liked it?
Yeah it's a nice camera and the quality is great for the price.
Good to know, thanks!

Thanks.
Looks like you have the Berkley lightning rod ice rod you should check out berkleys 7foot medium light fast action tip and it has great sensitivity or the cheap price of 49.99$
NICE VIDEO. I will buy on ice rood and reel. thanks
are you using a go pro and how long does your battery last and what kind of mount were you using at 15 seconds
All the chest mounts are with a GoPro hero 3+ black. The tripod shots (including the 0:15 shot) are from a Panasonic G7. Thanks for watching!
Battery doesn't last very long on the GoPro. I'd guess around an hour or so of continuous shooting. I have 5 spare batteries for the GoPro
