David I just found your station. Would u consider putting together playlist? Where all are sorted by author and series. With even 3 books by...8 books by ex. Tim LaHaye. Happy Thanksgiving
Well, this is fun! I lived in Tokyo in the 1980s and 90s so the places and events in this story are very familiar to me. It's like a flashback to 24 years ago! Unlike many narrators of audiobooks, this author/narrator pronounces the names of the different Japanese locations correctly so I rather believe that he actually lived there, too.
By my estimation of when Vietnam ended, pagers superceded beepers, and mobile phones became pocket sized as opposed to the size of a small suitcase, the internet speeding up and becoming ubiquitous, Rain must be 65 at least ! The author/narrator sounds just like Jacob Morgan on Audible, especially the narration of Priest by Sierra Simone.
@@Warvvolf I did not know that. I only listened to a bit of both the beginning and the ending (to make sure if this is the full). But since it is repeated and cuts off at the end, I assumed it missed some parts.

In your estimation I expect you consider yourself knowledgeable; others probably have differing estimations.
@@Smoothjockyes, bit like the old saying ‘when you are dead, everyone knows it except you. The same goes for being stupid.’ 😂😂😂
I'm 60 and I was 8 when Vietnam war was ending in 72. Rain is probably 70 like my uncle who joined in 71.
Based on a true story! This is why fiction is so great. This guy tells a great story. I was a senior in high school in 1976.
Wow! Absolutely awesome choice, love this author, hopefully more by Eisler is coming. Thanks and blessings, much appreciated.
Worthy of a great listen
Keeeeyiiiii!!!

Tired of hearing about jazz and Japan. Moving on. Not what I thought and hoped
Really good, slow moving storyline, with pockets of excitement. Has a Bosch feel to it.... with a hint of Jason Bourne...
Spoiler - hated the ending!

This is not the full book.
EDIT: OK, this is actually the full book, but it is repeated in the end. It actually ends at 8:34:10
Should be the whole thing. All 26 chapters based on audible info. Just an odd repeat tagged on the end.

@@TOMNICE I threw it in audacity because I wondered the same thing. I think it's to throw off the algorithm

Jaguar Wright has been talking for 4 years. She does talk about JayZ.
I saw this as a movie. It was wonderful. Never like when the author reads their own work.
Must be difficult to combine your career as an assasin as well as keeping up your apperance as an travel guide.
