Hectic
Love these characters. Some of the stories are made into movies, enjoyed them also. Barry Eisler is also quite the actor as well as writer. The tips at the end of this book are excellent 🐬
I ask, are you living in the SF Bay Area? Then I listen to another book and it strikes me, you are quite comfortable in Japan and you seem to be fluent in the native language as well as versed in their local legend, history and culture. Forgive my slowness. Are you a Japanese national? Native of Tokyo? Surely your knowledge and comfort there is not due to research. Whichever, American or Japanese I’m impressed.
Thanks for uploading the Livia Lone books! Will you be posting "All the Devils," the last book in the series?
Larrison sounds like Batman.😂
Mr Barry, I have to admire your talent at jumping back and forth, keeping in character all along. To say nothing of the fabulous story lines you are narrating. I am a huge fan. I wonder if you are from the SF Bay Area or are currently living in the area. Your familiarity, across several of your books feels like more than standard research. It hints of every day life knowledge. I’m so pleased that I stumbled upon your books being narrated. I’m recently blind and I can hope there are other authors as good at this as you Thank you Denise
Nothing beats the revenge scene in Livia Lone. "You so fun".😈
Thank you!
Love the tatt
Wow
Thank you for these books! I look forward to every one of them and listen to some of them twice. I really enjoy the ones that have Dox in them
You are so right regarding Dox, his accent, quick wit and deadly but moral demeanor makes for a great character especially with Livia Lone as his foil!!
Right on brother! Thanks and blessings for bringing Livia Lone to life for those of us who only met her through your channel. I've listened to all of your Barry Eisler novels and enjoyed them to the max! Looking forward to seeing what's on the horizon for our listening pleasure, love this one so far, gotta go get me some more of Livia Lone, respect to you Sir from east Tennessee. ONE LOVE BROTHER!
Thank you.

6 minutes in and I would not mind at all if this Billy character just happened to lose his balance while waiting for a subway train.
nice work. i did not realize you wrote jon rain too! This was a very good work!
Very well written but extremely graphic. Extremely. Ending is so satisfying.
Nice to meet up with Leevee again. You will remember her as Doc's grlfriend ( I don't really know he says) from Rain and Co.
Parts are interesting, but the pro Israel thread is cringe worthy
Is there a Livia Lone #2 ????
Yes! It's called The Night Trade.
@@marieb797thank you for the info 🐬
This is the second time I tried to read this story. The first time I had to stop because of the graphic description of child trafficking. The second time, I saw it through and so appreciated the long suffering and the endurance of Livia and her quest. The ending is very good.
Thanks for another Barry Eisler! I must admit that I prefer Rain and his buddies, but Mr Eisler is such a gifted writer and narrator that he could read his grocery list and it would be amazing! ❤
Wow. This was so good. Thank you.
YES!!!

Right on! Another Barry Eisler audiobook! Great way to spend the last hours of 2024, thanks and blessings from east Tennessee, much appreciated. Happy New Year to you and yours Sir!!
👍
I am listening to this for a second time because this is such a great book! I should add that I have already listened to all of the others in this series (10 or 11 books) and loved every one of them. These books are so well written that "re-reading" them is still a joy.

Mr Barry, I am your new biggest fan. I am fond of John, Delilah, Tats Dox, Tom and all the good guys. There are a coroner words you pronounce differently than I am accustomed to. I will look into those 2 words to determine whether or not the difference is due to location. I’m from Northern California. Looking foreword to more of whatever you are writing. Meaning is you wrote it or are going to be releasing it, same genre or not I’ll give it a read. Many thanks Denise San Francisco

Tired of hearing about jazz and Japan. Moving on. Not what I thought and hoped

Keeeeyiiiii!!!
These stories are awesome Mr. Eisler! And your narration only adds to it.
Well, this is fun! I lived in Tokyo in the 1980s and 90s so the places and events in this story are very familiar to me. It's like a flashback to 24 years ago! Unlike many narrators of audiobooks, this author/narrator pronounces the names of the different Japanese locations correctly so I rather believe that he actually lived there, too.
Great Audiobook , powerful story and great narrator
Great story so far. I lived in Ubud, Bali, and hearing the reference to Bintang supermarket bought a smile to my face.
I really like this author! Looking for John Rain #8! Also, are there only 9 books in this series? Thank you for putting these books out there and thanks for not throwing a ton of ads in.
It's 2am, and I've just made a pot of coffee... I can't put it down , thank you...
Dox Rocks! I was laughing out loud. The depth of the characters is outstanding. Enjoyed every word.
Love this book! 😆😍
Thank you🎉
How cool to hear a shout-out to J.A. Konrath. Wow, I received a lot of helpful writing and self-publishing advice from him back in 2010, I think it was.
