I have the same mask, had it for 12 months and was one of the best things I ve bought .
R tech customer support is great . I would reach out to them they will sort your issue out quickly.

Glad to hear you're getting on well with it. I *think* the issue is sorted now - it was only minor but was a bit frustrating because I was running out of time.
Do you just keep the hood down and pump on all the time, or take it off each time you stop to do something else?

I'm still not sold on the air fed mask. I've actually removed the air feed recently and using it as a normal mask, but I have been working on a rollcage where space is really tight so needed to get rid of bulk. The mask itself is good though

I thought it about time I started looking after my lungs a little bit more! Aside from the little battery issue, I quite like it!
Even more impressed after watching the footage back, didn't smell a thing!

This looks good, I have to hold my breath most of the time welding or wear a respirator which doesn’t hardly fit at all, asthma.
The doubleboost code you mentioned, is that a discount site or the TH-cam fabrication channel? More interesting content😁.
    👍

I've had a little more time under the hood and I'm getting more used to it. I've got asthma too, which is why I'm trying to help myself a little bit.
Yes Doubleboost has a TH-cam channel, although I first found him on the mig welding forum. He's got a discount code which I think he mentions in some of his videos / in their descriptions. Didn't feel it right to share the code myself directly.

I've used it a little while now. I had to send back the screen because it kept on flashing me. They sent one out immediately and I received it next day.
I'm still not used to the weight and extra hassle of putting the blower on and find myself reverting to my old mask for short duration welding, and use this one of I'm sat down for a while with a lot of welding.

What torch are you using Andy? And tungsten diameter? Nice welding and a fancy bit of kit. I am more inclined to look at bench extraction for comfort. I planned to use a powerful bathroom extractor fan connected to abit of ducting to position on my bench

In this video I started with a CK9 and then upped to CK17 because I had to use a few more amps than the 9 was comfortable with. I generally use a stubby #6 for all my aluminium and a white 2.4mm Tungsten.
The air feed was a secondary feature, primary reason for the new mask was because I was gradually getting blinded by my old lid. Bench extraction is a nice idea actually!
