Tank is looking good. Live the RODI set up. I hope to set one up myself. How old is your tank now? I see some Coralline algae. when did that start growing? I have had problems with BJD with my euphyllia. I always dip my corals before they go into tank. What is best way to prevent that? Where do u buy corals? Sorry for all the questions! Thanks
The tank is roughly 9-10 months old. I’ve gone pretty slow with it though. Coralline took off 5-6 months in. I started with all dry Marco rock in the display, but sump seeded with Tampa bay live rock. I think that definitely was helpful. Yea, dipping corals is what I do as well. I can’t say I’ve encounter BJD too much. Sometimes I’ll do multiple dips a few days apart. Most the lps corals I picked up from online vendors like divers den, wwc, cherry corals, etc.
Im following Chris Meckley method with dosing Kalkwasser and ill say that it works with keeping the ph up. Its scary as heck when your alkalinity goes from 8 to 12 with in a month and still going up. But….dont look at numbers.. other than PH. I keep up with w/c so my calcium doesn’t sky rocket. Other than that no other dosing. ( my system is 250gallons with over 80 corals( 60% sps)
Haha, yeah, I’ve reviewed Chris’ approach a lot…I just can’t grit my teeth and ignore the alk swings from that approach. I guess I am not 100% convinced yet, but many, like yourself, are reporting great results…eek!
Look forward to the par updates 👌💯✌️
Back in my old bulb changing days I would change one bulb at a time. Wait a couple of weeks then change another one
Yea, good call, I guess I got a little lax/lazy with best practices, now I’m suffering some.

If your starting kalk, setup another brute container for kalk you will thank yourself later
What's the reason for the circulation pump in the ato container?
Had some slime type build up on side of glass after a few weeks and adding the pump resolved that.
