Not only did they make Last Order have romantic feelings for Accelerator when it's confirmed that they're parent and child, but they also include a Misaka clone be implied to have romantic feelings for Accelerator when in NT 7 it was stated by the Will of the Misaka network that only Last Order and Misaka Worst are the only ones close to him the rest prefer Touma.
Exactly literally all the sisters have feelings for Touma. Of course Inmuto (10032) is in love with Touma. It was literally shown in the story in both anime and light novel. Also about Last Order having feelings for Accelerator is absolutely inexcusable. Last Order is like 9-10 years old while Accelerator is 16 years old. AGE DIFFERENCE!!!! The sister having a crush on Accelerator makes no sense since they all have feelings for Touma for what he did during sisters arc. How DOES THAT CHANGE???

I agree with you about the second arc. I forgot most of what happens at the beginning of it, and never bothered to read the rest. I just remembered it had something to do with a bunch of rich weirdos having an orgasmic attack about the idea of eating people...or something like that... I can imagine that Kamachi's basic idea was something like: "The board of directors have this plan B for body crystals manufactory, which is this shady organization that kidnaps and exploit little girls, and Accelerator goes to rescue them all when one of them escapes and asks for help." But then, the mangaka and editor were like: "This is boring as it is! Let's make this shady organization a bunch of lunatics who make a big show out of the crystals creation, because it will look more epic! Also, more cute girls' antics! Everyobody loves cute girls! That's why they're reading an Accelerator manga, right?" All in all, I think there's potential in an Accelerator spin-off. I wish they could set a new manga spin-off during the most recent novels, now that he's more fleshed out and has a bigger and well stablished group of his own, so you can go to all sorts of different places from there, even further developing his other allies.
About last order having romantic feelings for accelerator, keep in mind she’s a kid, little kids growing up to have crushes on the people they look up to is very common. Shit I had plenty of adult/teen crushes when I was a kid. So You can sum that up as her just being an unaware child, even if she has the misaka network and all the misaka experience, she was developed physically as a kid and mentally she still seems to have the mindset of one at most times.
Esther was probably the only decent new character, but I still felt like her character didn't reach the potential it could have been. I do hope we get to see her again though, maybe she could appear in a future side story.

As you said it makes no sense to do a Accelerator manga between OT5 and 8 (no character devellopement). The only good moments in the Index timeline to put an accelerator manga would be just after he joins GROUP to see some others GROUP missions and see him devellops bonds with other GROUP members or between OT22 and NT1 to see how Accelerator clean AC of the dark side (and to see more of the "Accelerator familly" with misaka worst, LO, Yomi/Yoshikawa)
I remember reading this as it came out. And for a half a year there I wondered if I read the name of the manga wrong because he wasn't in it for so long
I really did wish that accelerator appeared more than he did. He did some pretty cool things and it expanded upon how vast and versatile his powers are. I thought the temperature manipulation and him making a not black hole was kinda neat. Plus it's cool that if he has nothing better to do he can just pop in and help heaven cancellor with highly advanced microscopic brain surgery. That's the only positives I could think of.🤔Yeah..... Everything else was pretty bad from what I can remember.
They were very desperate to find a reason for accelerator not to know about magic despite fighting it in one of these arcs... even though they could have just not included magic.
About that teleportation incosistency - reflecting it only works when it's actually using vectors. This coffin thingy seems to be using scalars by swapping the whole chunks of space instead of moving a specific objects via 11th-dimensional movement... Or maybe after leveling up it operates on the principles of this specific chinese spirit, which IIRC represents consumption... Idk, it's not that like it was ever properly explained. Also, is it really that weird that a group of ineffectual teenagers really hates teachers? In particular in a place like AC, where said teachers are often scientists who leave their morality (or pretense of one) at the border? Full Course talking about "extracting nectar" from Himegi - I personally thought it was simply extention of rumors about that train director investing in canibalism. And a ship full of obviously bored, rich human garbage willing to literally eat a teenage girl... Eh, something like this happening on the Dark Side was to be expected, tbh. Still nothing particularly special, and cooks being espers was a bit weak attempt to make it seem more fitting in the Toaru world. Two good things in Nectar Arc for me - Accelerator talking with monkeys, which was just funny, and that talk about Artisanal Techniques, which fits the overall message of A Certain series really well. Thank you for your endurance :D I skipped the manga after the first 4 chapters because of the low update rate at the start and after visiting some of the 4chan threads during the final arcs. Btw your impression of Emperor Palpatine made me laugh way to hard.

I remember the monkeys being AIM sensing monkeys or something? Maybe its just me trying to make the scene more fun but i just remember a guy saying how he has theses monkeys and going on about how cool they were.
I really enjoyed the 1st season of the anime and then went on to the manga to read the second arc....boy most of it was boring with accelerator barley having any action and that whole nectar stuff was gross. Big drop in quality. Esther is an amazing character and a great edition to the franchise. I hope she makes an appearance in the main series one day. Also it was cool that the antagonist were after level 6 too, just confirms how obsessed Academy City is with reaching it. Thought that complimented the main series. Also seeing the concept of Necromancy via magic was cool. Something the main series has not covered in the magic side yet. Also seeing Yomikawa in this series was cool too, she is a great character and it shows us that her and Accelerator have gone through a lot together.
For me, the worst part of the Accelerator spin-off is that it missed so many great opportunities. When I watched Index II (sorry, didn't read manga or LN) I felt like I missed a huge part of Accelerator adapting to his life with Last Order and "external calculations". When I started to watch Accelerator, I expected to see him learning to use "Misaka Network", learning to live with Last Order, or maybe they would have some quarrels and only accustomed to each other later. Yet there was nothing of the sort. Heck, if the connector device would have to be perfected or attuned, it would even solve the problem of Accelerator being OP.
They'd better have worked on Kakine's arc to give more screen time to the Accelarator since the guy has an obsession with Accelerator, so they could show the development of #1 at different times in LN without much risk of damaging the franchise timeline, but I read the two spin-offs and are __.

While the Railgun manga and cannon anime episodes are awesome and actually made Misaka an interesting, which she in the main series (Index) was boring, cringey, and useless. But it's so sad that she gets more attention in her series and insane animation budgets, not even the main series adaptation had that level of care and budget (it had some cool things like Accels wings were more terrifying than in the LN, etc). Then comes Accelerator's manga, a shoehorned story which is just introducing a cast of bad characters (just female characters who have flatter character than Misakas tits). If Accelerator had gotten the Railgun treatment, it would be the best spinoff and far surpass the main series

Really, the most interesting thing about the science side is not the esper power, it's the weird technology and people of the Dark Side. Meanwhile, the magic side gives me the feelings of something ancient, occult but logical and systematic. Also the diversity in the magic side societies also interesting, not every religion (or region) uses the same magic, they have their own culture.
I honestly feel bad for you, having to read that nectar arc not just once, but twice. Thank you so much for your sacrifice that allowed this video to be made

Hi there. I agree. I recently tried to watch the Accelerator anime, and after watching 4 episodes, I lost interest. I was also a bit angry about how beautiful the animation was, when I felt like that effort should have been put into the Index or Railgun series.

Funny you mention the art, as the art actually gets WORSE in the Nectar Arc, not better. Also, I noticed a small mistake on your part at 14:11. You accidentally said Isaac was Esther's "descendant" when he was in actuality her ancestor. Ancestors preceed the then-current generation, wheras descendants succeed them.
If I were to rewrite the manga I would change 2 things the starting point and the duration of the plot (at the absolute earliest I would have its ending (alternatively a halfway point serving the application of accelerators bridge into new testament) coincide with a repeat of the end of the ww3 arc though I could also use it as a beginning)(basically using the manga to reinforce accelerator and last orders connection and further set up his healing of last order along with altering the release schedule)
i feel like Full Course had good ideas just either not the right series or right place to execute them. I do feel you were a bit harsher on it and the ideas (probably cause it'd be frustrating to read that arc again)
Nectar arc feels like a horror manga with all that disgusting food and distorted faces and expressions and himegi has no back story and she is the most annoying character in the whole series. Yumi and mami feels like the main characters of the arc and accelerator is like the cleaner just entering the arc in the end to take out the trash
I'm an anime only. while I do not like that a romantic feeling for accelerator by last order is implayed, I do remember in season 3 that whole of GROUP made fun of each other for been lolicons and shoutacons. so won't you reach the romantic conclusion if you saw only that and nothing else of to aru?

I mean the Accel anime was a huge upgrade from the manga
The anime was WAY better... art was consistent, the music was pretty good... they even added some scenes to actually give more weight to the story.

While the anime filled in some non descript fighting scenes, made Accelerators wings and Kakines more intimidating, aweaome OSTs, it doesiss the lore details and plotpoints which are essential to the franchise
@@captainzen1883 I think each side has their own charm. Like you said, the science side has many shady science projects and conspiracies, or the Dark Side of Academy City. Really, the most interesting thing about the science side is not the esper power, it's the weird technology and people of the Dark Side.
Meanwhile, the magic side gives me the feelings of something ancient, occult but logical and systematic. Also the diversity in the magic side societies also interesting, not every religion (or region) uses the same magic, they have their own culture.
I hope kamachi kazuma bring Esther rosenthal to the light Novels soon

Hi there. I agree. I recently tried to watch the Accelerator anime, and after watching 4 episodes, I lost interest. I was also a bit angry about how beautiful the animation was, when I felt like that effort should have been put into the Index or Railgun series.

I read the accelerator manga a while ago and wondered why I forgot the Nectar arc, I now remember why I forgot the Nectar arc.
Funny you mention the art, as the art actually gets WORSE in the Nectar Arc, not better.
Also, I noticed a small mistake on your part at 14:11. You accidentally said Isaac was Esther's "descendant" when he was in actuality her ancestor. Ancestors preceed the then-current generation, wheras descendants succeed them.

If I were to rewrite the manga I would change 2 things the starting point and the duration of the plot (at the absolute earliest I would have its ending (alternatively a halfway point serving the application of accelerators bridge into new testament) coincide with a repeat of the end of the ww3 arc though I could also use it as a beginning)(basically using the manga to reinforce accelerator and last orders connection and further set up his healing of last order along with altering the release schedule)

i feel like Full Course had good ideas just either not the right series or right place to execute them. I do feel you were a bit harsher on it and the ideas (probably cause it'd be frustrating to read that arc again)

Silent party was alright not the best arc of Railgun. But when I look back on It, it’s not that good except for some parts.
Nectar arc feels like a horror manga with all that disgusting food and distorted faces and expressions and himegi has no back story and she is the most annoying character in the whole series. Yumi and mami feels like the main characters of the arc and accelerator is like the cleaner just entering the arc in the end to take out the trash
The one who had story idea should be checked, the weirdness and pervert with child is beyond understanding
