Would you be able to make more movie cars like the DB5 from James Bond. The 89 Batmobile comes to mind, or does copyright play a factor for cars like that.
We use decals because we can more accurately recreate the effect of carbon fibre at scale. The weave of real carbon fibre doesn't downscale well. As for the steering, as a rule, no, though some of our models in the past have had a little steering movement. We wouldn't want to encourage people to actively play with our models - they are very intricately detailed and therefore extremely fragile.
@@AmalgamCollection That's interesting, I didn't know it was very difficult to made carbon fiber in a small scale. However, it would be interesting if there was a way to make the tires from some kind of rubber that flattens near the outer edges like on a real tire. I've seen one brand do this in 1:18 scale! I have no idea what they used that could replicate that but it makes a big difference in realism.
@@stuka97 Not at all! We're just saying you don't need a million dollars to appreciate our work. 🖼 In fact, we developed ranges of smaller scale models (1:8 scale cars, 1:12 scale nosecones, 1:4 scale steering wheels, and miniature sculptures) especially to cater to the larger markets who have neither the space or the capital for one of our 1:8 scale models.
I will buy a F1 model when im older and have enough disposable income. Absolutely stunning models.
These really are true works of art
i'm in LOVE with Amalgam and Autoart models, as well as a few others but these two Captivate me - and i don't want to be set free!
Nice to see Rhino 3D is being used for this Masterpiece
I love this kind of "make" videos
Having viewed your website I'm truly stunned by them all ❤

Stunning 😍
Do you 'tone' the paint due to 'distance effect' I.e. a genuine Ford Blue will not look right on a 1/4 model.
would be amazing to work on some of these !
Cool
Wish I could buy and build a kit like this and build it!
Super
I like what they do, I would like to know what software they use to make these replicas thanks
Perfeito ....
Where do I wisit your wabsite

Why can't you use real carbon fibre for the body? Does the steering work?

Amalgam is great if you have tens of thousands of dollars.
Our models are still great even if you don't have tens of thousands of dollars. 😁
@@AmalgamCollection So Sensitive ! Your models are great you just have to be a millionaire to own one.

But really, $13K (U.S.) for a model??? AutoArt does it very well for 1/10 that amount!
Autoart doesn't do 1:8 or larger
