really just depends on the sub and box a lot i would say and maybe the vehicle also. i like around 40hz myself. i like the solid hard thump. some people like rattling lows.
Any idea why my 2500d amp keeps going into protection mode when everything is right and everything is secure? I don't have a meter but my speaker wire is a little burnt would that cause it to go in protection mode at higher volumes?
Could be wrong ohm load or possibly a blown voice coil. Try hooking up each coil one at a time and see if you still have the same issue or if it's just in one coil.
I have 2 Kenwood Excelon subs connected tried connecting single subs up and both trigger the protect. Ground is secure to chassis in trunk filed down to bare metal. Power wire is securely connected to New battery and securely connected to amp. The wires from subs to amp have a little burn mark on them. I believe speaker wires are 14 gauge? @@TrapMyRide
What are u talking about? He's running 4 of them....they can do exactly what he just said....they are louder that alot of name brand subwoofer....you have no idea
@TLX3.5 yeah definitely. Check out some of the audio demos. Hella slappy! And people hear it for like two blocks off for real. I'd pull up to the car show bangin and win the audio comp on the pull up. I have a pic somewhere of 171.??DB
@@TrapMyRide- You mean a 141Db? No way its a 171Db= all of your windows would be blown out, not to mention anyone's ears that heard it, would be blown out, and bleeding! Trust me, i know what im talking about. Those 2500 "watt" rated amps only do about 600 watts each!
@evilinside5984 no you don't know. It literally wouldn't do any of that but it is loud af. Yes 171db I have a picture of the laptop it was measured on. I'm getting around 650 to 700w from each. Those aren't the only speakers in the truck. Has mids and highs too. I won all 3 trophies I have on the pull up to those contest. Pulled up and shit it down. Dudes didn't even wanna play theirs against it and definitely didn't believe it was off the shelf from Walmart. I had to show everyone it was Walmart stuff. No one would believe me without showing them. The real trick isn't throwing a bunch of $ at it and expecting it to be something. The trick is all in the arithmetic I promise. Lost of math and calculations but that's the secret. We have sundowns now and another TrapBlazer.
I got the Tramp 5k smart amp, 370amp alternator, 2 3100D xs batteries.... I got 6 of these subs.... I got them in 2 Skar 3 12in. sub boxes.... In my truck... Let me tell you ain't nothing fu**ing with it.. you would think I spent alot of money for subs, don't need to anymore.... lol ....
Looks good👍

It cuts off with just one sub connected too for both of them. Not sure what it could be. @@TrapMyRide
