I so want to like those planes. This is not the first time I’ve seen a review of this plane, and with the same issues pointed out. I love innovation, if it works. My struggle with the Bailey style plane is getting better, as I’ve never found anything that works better. That being said, I hope they can keep trying. A sharpenable blade that is held in a more sturdy fashion with a better adjustment mechanism. …..well, at that point it’s a whole different plane….*sigh*
100% agree with you hear. I WANT innovation but the Baley and Norris style planes are tested and have help their ground I'm not sure anything will get better than that. Maybe one day but who knows!!!
