I came here from chmcl's F-Zero GX Custom track for "Silence", that uses this remix in the background. he gave credit to Remix Rave and left in a link in the description, which is how i got here. The track itself is based of a Silence track from an F-zero fan game. I got to say, I love this Remix of Silence! I actually own a copy of F-Zero Climax, so this felt right at home with me.
*Funny Background Info* The remix was actually requested twice. 1st time was around maybe several months back and I started it, just trying to get an idea of how Climax's intro would sound in X-Style. For whatever reason I kinda 'forgot' to carry on with it. Just a few days ago it was requested again by the same sub so I took a dive into and gave you subs a pre-xmas present. I'm going on holiday soon so don't 'panic' if there are no uploads within a month.
Usually when I say stuff like ratings like that, it's usually sarcastic in a way. So it's basically a little, though mostly unneeded disclamier. And I have a habit of making up words at times when nothing else fits too well.
Oh my, pardon my french but this so fucking good. I really love how you put in Legend's extra frantic version of that little whammy part at 1:45 and 3:55, and then added that guitar effect at 1:55 and 4:05. Loved the climax version, but always thought the old part from X and Legends was too short: Now this remix just adds em both!!!
Thanks! Yeah I liked GP Legends' take on pitch-bending. Especially X's solo stab at 1:33 on the left-hand side, there's no way I could've left that out.
Mixed. It was in midi, though. There's a vid up on my channel, just look for Dream Chaser. I didn't use the F-Zero X soundset, though; It's recorded with the Airfont 380 soundfont. Weirdest thing of all is that someone legit commissioned it.
also careful: most of the uploads of the gp legend/climax grand prix ending music don't play through all the way... sucks as the in-game version of the song doesnt play it through all the way. you prolly should look for a rip from zophar to help.
