0:29 I feel like that last note messed up a little bit, you're supposed to hear that really high note louder, the strings were pretty quiet understandably and the bassy guitar was louder but it ends on the lower note.
An even more epic version of the best remix of the greatest song in the games. Also, play Climax, it's lots of fun. And if you liked F-Zero X, you'll like this one.
I always thought the climax & the anime versions were terrible, but this rocks!! It also reminds me of the second puppet panic zone in Sonic 3D blast! You guys should compare these!
It should be possible, as there exists romhacks of SNES games with CD quality music replacing the original music, although I don't know of any N64 romhacks that have done this.
Thanks for your inference! To be honest, judging by what has been said in the FZX staff interview, it appears that replacing the music is virtually impossible since they are in wav format. So really you'd need the actual game code and whatever compiler was used to actually replace the music. It was possible with snes because the snes music format was .spc, a format that can be edited and converted using software. (My wording may overcomplicate things but i recommend keeping your hopes low about it).
A simple spc player lets you convert them to wav files and also lets you toggle each of the 8 channels on/off, which means you could export, say, F-Zero's Mute City piano intro on its own. I even have a couple spc files which Tony Thai made, he replicated the Title Theme and Car select theme from X using X's sounds into spc format.
My main issue with the Climax rendition are the GBA instruments used. Using the X-style instruments gives the arrangement a much more hard rock/metal feel that the GBA just can't emulate all that well.
still think I prefer GPL's soundtrack over Climax, but it's one of the games in my collection I've been meaning to revisit (really didn't like the extra mechanics they mapped to the Up and Down buttons on the d-pad, tbh). This is great though :D
Its like throwing X and climax in a blender, another awesome remix! I thought it was kinda interesting what climax did with Big blue, but I really liked climax' take on the Silence tune (i think they called it Nightmare?) Will you do that one too sometime?
I know I already requested you to do Corneria's theme from Star Fox, but I think it would be badass if you could also maybe tackle "For the Love Of" from M.U.S.H.A. Aleste at some point: th-cam.com/video/sMVejnk5bvs/w-d-xo.html
i just got stoped by the cops because of how awsome it sounds
I guess the cops enjoy it too LOL. Thanks by the way!
Yeah... I don't recommend listening to this while driving

This sounds awesome , i love this big blue version and you made it even better.
Thanks!
the piano part was such a great idea, and you have made an awesome remix! i love it!
Holy shit, this song in x0.75 is a whole different experience. Hits hard too! Great remix all around.
O_O
Ooh. This. This is nice. Doing some serious justice to one of my favorite versions of Big Blue.
Hello, thanks for your comment. I was only able to acknowledge your comment in passing as I've been a little busy with personal stuff.
That's okay. I wasn't expecting a reply to being with, so no harm done.

Awesome, thanks for doing it!
No problem!
Extremely cool. Listening every day.

I wonder if I can ROM hack F-Zero X to replace Decide In The Eyes with this?

Remix Rave Ah, I didn't know that .spc-files can be converted, that explains those SNES romhacks, thanks for the clarification.

Righteous
I dare someone to go on there car and go 145 mph
Completing the F-Zero Climax OST using X's instruments, heh ? Looking forward for the whole thing coming full circle =p
It looks like it. Though I must warn you in currently going by requests. None of my latest upload have been by choice XD
Ooooh, okay. In either case, looking forward to your next remixes !
Fucking genius!

To this day, I still don't like Climax's rendition of Big Blue. However, I love your X-style :D
Thanks! I'll probably end up liking its white-land track next. But that's NOT requested so...XD
My main issue with the Climax rendition are the GBA instruments used. Using the X-style instruments gives the arrangement a much more hard rock/metal feel that the GBA just can't emulate all that well.
Yeah, that's also my main issue. That, and I think the GBA instruments used to make the song make it sound "messy" for lack of a better word.
Well that can be fixed. I would like to request for you to X-style White Land from F-Zero Climax pls :P
Their choice of instruments is questionable but overall I'm impressed by their attempts to create quality music in Climax.

Holy frick.
Where/how'd you get the instruments??
Tony Thai's music website. He ripped the drums. The rest of instruments are standard midi with effects.

I'm trying to clear all the X-Style (direct F-Zero-related) remixes. I have one more and then hopefully I will be able to to move on to yours.
